Cactus Cantina restaurant Washington DC My favorite place in washington dc. I had dinner twice and loved steak fajitas served with beans, rice and avocado salad and tortillas which are made in front of us. Service and meals are excellent. Ambiance is really nice. It is mostly crowded and you may wait for a place unless you do not have a reservation in a rush hour. Highly recommended!

I’m from Texas and I can say they have very good Mexican food, but the service is lacking, even though they were not very busy. We arrived early afternoon and it took a while to get drinks served and take the order. Then, when the order came out there were only three meals for the four of us. We waited while they cooked the other order and brought it out. We had a good time and especially enjoyed the soft beef tacos, but we did a lot of waiting.

My experience last night here was a little so so 🤷🏾♀️ The atmosphere was nice and our server was nice. I had a little mishap with my drink but the manager came over and talked with me and genuinely showed he cared. That was important and I appreciated him fixing the issue.

The waiter earned a five star review alone, bringing the chips and salsa within seconds of our seating and never letting our water glasses drain. The chips and salsa earned a five star review alone, as well, freshly made to perfection and wonderfully thin without being too delicate, with the perfect dusting of salt. The food is excellent and generously sized. There is tons of seating, both indoors and out.
