SUBO Filipino Kitchen

Great food. Ordered egg rolls ahead of time, then I ate there and the food was amazing ! I’ve come here twice before. The food was always phenomenal. But today I was disappointed. The food was not hot, the “beef” was dry and I’m pretty sure it was pork I could have waited 10 minutes for fresh “beef” if that was the case The rice doesn’t taste like “garlic rice” at all I’m glad this place is open and I would love to give it another try, but it’s not right to sell food that’s not fresh Ordered the Tapsilog,  Bihon, and some pork lumpia.

Everything was delicious and tasted freshly made. Even the lumpia was freshly fried. I’ll definitely be coming back here

 Reviews

Small place but nice and welcoming. The portions are really good for the price and I was able to have some left overs. I will continue going back to try some more stuff from the menu Hands down, the most hospitable establishment I’ve been to…. Food is amazing- tastes like a home cooked meal…. The owner Rob was extremely generous and gave us samples of so many items. I will definitely be back… everything was delicious, but the soup hit the spot on this subzero day

Waiting is long.. Food and prices are amazing making up for the wait. I love the options they offer. Really homey vibes for me. Place is modern and easy to read menu. Staff are really friendly and will allow you to try food before ordering

I ordered thru grubhub. This was my first time trying this place. I had 1 order of pancit. 1 order of lumpia. The lumpia was pork, but it had an odd flavor. Not that it was bad. It was just different…not the typical flavor I’ve had in my pork lumpia. The pancit also was good. Al of the food arrived super hot and fresh.

The pancit also had a different flavor to it, but that didn’t make it bad. The cabbage in the lumpia was my favorite, but to be fair, I also love cabbage. There was a lemon wedge in the pancit that gave a strong flavor and odor to the pancit that I could have done without. Overall, I would certainly try this place again.

Food is good, service had improved, but prices have gone up and portions gotten smaller. That’s not good. I get the rise in prices, but you don’t take away in portions. That’s a rip off. Of course owner is going to defend the business in refuting reviews, but reviews are made in customer experiences. Portions here are in fact smaller for the price rise. How many reviews stating the same do you need to realize that?

Every time we travel, we always look up for Filipino restaurants to try. We chose SUBO because it has 4.6 stars. The sinigang was great. We were a little disappointed with the pancit noodles and adobo. They were salty. They also made a mistake with our order. My husband was excited to try Filipino chicken curry but we were given kare kare. We only realized it when we got back to the hotel
