El Tamarindo Restaurant Washington DC

El Tamarindo Restaurant Washington DC Great place for Latino food (specially cuisine from El Salvador or Mexico) and a great time! Pupusas and draft beers as well as Pacificos were particularly nice.

Pretty good Mexican/Salvadorian spot to grab food. Lots of outdoor seating but to be honest, the alley kinda smelled under the tent. Waiter was very nice and present with us. The mole is delicious and the pupusas are pretty good – a bit inconsistent on the temps of the pupusas we ordered though. There also wasn’t a clear drink menu in the actual dinner menu so that was kinda odd. But we’ll be back to try it again!

Never had a papusa before and this was the place to try it. Such a wonderful way to eat! Tried the veg, pork, chicken, but the chorizo was the winner. Burritos were also huge and full of real food. Pulled chicken you can tell was done on-site. Great flavors.

Went here to try pupusas for the first time. Ended up drunk af on their margaritas. Pupusas is delicious. Margaritos are more delicioso.

Amazing food! These are the best plátanos I’ve had in the city: soft and sweet on the inside and a nice layer of crispy on the outside. This place also uses real crema, not just sour cream. The nachos and pupusas were also fantastic, and I highly recommend the spicy tamarind margarita. My only critique is that the mojitos were too sweet for me
