Tasty, but is it still Portuguese? The Carne de Porco Alentejena was perfect. Maybe the best I’ve had in the US. Their Bifana, on the other hand, was way off. It’s not served in the traditional artisan roll and the pork was marinated in spices and sautéed onions. Bifanas should be simple, cooked with olive oil, crushed garlic and salt.

Drink selection was minimal unless you wanted straight whatever they had. The soup was good ,so was the stake but the cod was chewy which is what I had. The kitchen closes at like 9 or 9:30 so give them time to cook.
I Consider Myself a Portuguese Food Critic… Well Let Me Tell You This Place Has Excellent Authentic Portuguese Food!!!
If you miss home made food this is the place to go, real grandma taste food, so good!!!!

Best Bacalhau a bras (dried salty cod) in town. We go to this little restaurant often just to enjoy this amazing dish and it is always great. You can match it with a Portuguese green wine and it will be perfect. Please don’t be discouraged for the decor (it is an old fashioned place), what matters here is the great food. We always call in advance to order the food so when we arrive is almost ready to serve. Go and try it, you won’t be disappointed
