Real experience

We love this restaurant! The food is excellent and the service is wonderful. Today our table enjoyed stuffed French toast, southern breakfast, quich Lorraine, grillades and grits, and the Weidmanm’s grilled salmon salad (literally the best salad I’ve had in some time!). The portions are bountiful, you will not leave hungry.

Amazing food! Atmosphere was fantastic as well. This restaurant really captures exactly what you are trying to experience when traveling, which is a genuine and pleasant dining experience sprinkled with local culture. Londa, our waitress, was fantastic and met every single need. We ordered the specials she recommended and we were thrilled with the outcome. Must try the fried green tomatoes 1870! This is a must see/stop on your travels.

The food at Weidmann’s was simply delicious. Each bite was a burst of flavor that left us craving for more. The atmosphere of the restaurant was not only outstanding but also steeped in history, adding a unique charm to our dining experience. However, what truly stood out was the impeccable service we received.

Can you say Hidden Gem. Look no father for hands down the absolute Best Meal in Meridian MS. Located just a couple of miles of Interstate 20/59 this is the One. Perfect location downtown Meridian. Great atmosphere, friendly and welcoming hostesses and servers. Our meals were seasoned perfectly and prepared just like we ordered. Everything was hot and fresh, once we ordered the food was served within 10-15 minutes. We will definitely return to try one of the other great choices on the menu. 5 stars.

We stopped in for dinner while in the area and were very pleased! They were very busy on a Saturday evening and we sat at the bar and we received great service. We started with the Fried green tomatoes with 1870 sauce and they were amazing!

My husband got the Blackened Redfish and I got the crab cakes and both of them were very flavorful and plentiful! We also both got the potatoes au gratin. The meal was very good, the service was great and the restaurant was so cute and comfortable. Would highly recommend and we will be back when in the area!

My first time at this historic restaurant and it won’t be the last. Atmosphere service and food were amazing! Our server AJ was outstanding courteous attentive friendly and professional! I had the crab cakes Benedict with side of bacon 10/10!!!

Weidmann’s was recommended by a friend and I’m glad he did. The history of the restaurant was really cool. The food was excellent l, you have to get the fried green tomatoes! The bread pudding was amazing too. The atmosphere is really nice and if it’s not to hot check out the rooftop bar

This place was perfect! Great southern atmosphere, nicer than your average restaurant. The food was excellent and authentic. The service was friendly and prompt. Like any good southern restaurant, they take things slow and aren’t trying to push you out the door. We got our food faster than anywhere I’ve eaten lately – even fast food! If I didn’t live so far away, I would eat here regularly. Thank you for an excellent lunch!
