Greek Deli Catering Restaurant Washington DC

Greek Deli Catering Restaurant  Washington DC Best Greek food in DC. Lamb platter, Avgolemeno Soup (and Avgolemeno meatballs on Wednesdays) are amazing staples. I’ve been going here for over 20 years and have never been disappointed, except by the line. Haha! Always a wait and it’s always worth it.

I love the Greek Deli SO much. I almost always get the lamb platter but anything from the hot table is great. The portions are huge so I usually have leftovers, making it a great bargain. Plus I dream about the green beans and the fresh slices of bread, every part of the meal is lovingly prepared. I can also confirm the soup is as good as everyone says it is. There are tables out front and a few different parks within walking distance so you don’t even need an office nearby to enjoy your meal. Greek Deli is handsdown one of the best lunches in a neighborhood packed with options and overpriced sandwiches from big corporate chains. Check it out and go back as often as you can.

Went here for the first time this week, and it was just as incredible as everyone says. The lamb was fresh and tender, and it comes with a generous portion of sides, salad, and bread. I threw in a few deviled eggs, and it was big enough for two meals and then some. Definitely recommend for a weekday lunch downtown.

I made a point of ordering from Greek Deli because they have been struggling due to COVID, so I ordered delivery (via DoorDash) and couldn’t be happier. Got the soup/sandwich combo, and the portions are huge. The lentil soup is great, and the gyro was everything you’d want in a sandwich. Either would have filled me up, but both means I have leftovers for dinner. Help a local small business out!
