HaiSous Vietnamese Kitchen (prices + menu + location)

HaiSous Vietnamese Kitchen We really enjoyed the experience of eating there. We strongly recommend the squid- one of the best we’ve had in Chicago- and the colossal shrimps. The portions are not very big and in general dishes are meant to be shared

Great meal, really cool space, and fantastic staff. Our server made some key suggestions and helped us land on the perfect amount of food

The ribeye was incredible. Neck and neck with the rice noodles with crab as our favorite dishes. The wings did not disappoint either

If you are looking to try something different, I strongly encourage you to make your way to 18th and Carpenter. I received a warm welcome as soon as I entered the restaurant. We sat at a table near the open kitchen. Neidy is professional and provided service with a smile as she guided us through the dining experience. She also shared the story behind the name of the restaurant.
We started with the famous crispy chicken wings and papaya salad. Be prepared to taste the fish sauce on your chicken wings. I enjoyed both dishes. If you are accustomed to well-crafted cocktails, you will not be disappointed by the Japanese-inspired old-fashioned. For the entree, I enjoyed the fire-roasted chicken, and I tried the fried whole fluke. When it was time to flip the fluke, Neidy helped. For dessert, we ordered the waffles and finished off the night with a specialty coffee. Check the website for hours. My reservation was for 5:00PM.
By the time we left, the restaurant was near capacity. I highly recommend HaiSous, and I am looking forward to trying other items on the menu.

Haisous Vietnamese Kitchen is a charming restaurant in downtown Chicago which serves authentic Vietnamese food.

The place is run by husband and wife Chef Thai and Danielle Dang,

It is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in the US which explains the Michelin award it got under its belt.

Parking can be a problem. But when food is this great, you wouldn’t mind spending minutes going around the block looking for parking slot

Phenomenal meal from chef couple Thai and Danielle Dang. My brother and I ordered the October dinner series, and it did not disappoint. My favorite components were the ribeye and pork cheek, both were incredibly rich. The dessert was also so delectable with really playful textures. We were both stuffed at the end of the meal, it was the perfect amount of food for two

Great quality food, preparation was excellent. Service was a bit out of practice, but likely due to recent reopening
