Usmania Fine Dining
Food is great, just kind of expensive but I guess it makes sense because its a fine dining restaurant. Even though the food is still good, it feels like there has been a tremendous quality drop since 2010, back when I went there more actively.

Nihari and the kheer are one of the best in devon. They also have an extensive menu from traditional pakistani dishes and grill items and have a Chinese menu and steak and burgers. They also have outdoor seating and plenty of seating inside with social distance due to covid 19. Look out for deals like them on Facebook and they usually have special deals on certain days like BOGO offers or specials. Im giving them 5 stars based on the quality of food of nihari and kheer. Usmania has been around for a long time and some of the staff has been around for a long time. Most of the staff is nice and attentive considering desi restaurants are not consistent in service.

The Halal Burger
This place has very amazing dishes for good prices. Whenever I come to visit Chicago this place is a must have. The burgers are so big and very well cooked. The fries are also delicious. This place is also Zabiha certified. Highly highly recommend for anyone looking for some good burgers.

We got 2 meals from here. The Beef and Chicken. Meal sizes were good along with the taste. Fries were yummy and crispy. The beef burger was juicy, however, it was way more spicy then i expected. The guy on the counter did tell me it being spicy, but not that much spicy. So i went for his word and ended up drinking more water then the burger. Overall a good experience.

Taza _ Best halal restaurant in Chicago
The worker was friendly and appreciative. I would get the chicken shawarma platter again. It had a good flavor, it included hummus and a small salad. The chicken kebab was good but lacked some flavor. The spicy sauce was hot and has a great taste. We also enjoyed the veggie platter. This place is a great value, they include hummus, salad and pita. I plan on returning.

Noon O Kabab
Authentic and delicious food. Looks like they are short staffed, couldn’t get hold of the waitress assigned for our group after the food was served (without serving forks and spoons). We tried asking another waitress who was around and she just ignored and walked away. After about 10 minutes we were able to flag down our waitress and she brought the serving spoons and forks.

We used to go here with my dad for special occasions ( or just to go). He was born in Tehran and I’m the luckiest girl along with my siblings to have had a father like him. We lost him January 24t th and I have to say it was hard going without him. It’ll never be the same. It’s a beautiful restaurant and renovated / added into over the past few years and the dining room’s breathtaking. The foods the closest thing to my grandma’s homemade Persian cooking I grew up on. The Gormeh sabzi is my go to though I traditionally don’t eat lamb.

One of the best restaurants in W Devon Ave. They have clean interior and friendly staff. We tried goat biryani, beef nihari, shami kabab, and mango Lassi. All the foods were great. We will visit again.

Salam
The wait for my food was shorter than expected, staff was really nice. I enjoyed hearing one of the chefs singing to the music and being in his own little world. We decided we’d have a picnic that day. We had food from two diff places (country/culture and restaurant wise) and we shared it. It was delicious and I didn’t feel heavy afterwards. The restaurant is one of the best halal restaurants in Chicago

The food here is excellent. The hummus, falafel, and various kebabs are unrivaled in the city. And don’t get me started on that garlic sauce! Even the rice is seasoned perfectly. I have not tried their entire menu but their specialties are so good you will be hooked! A little on the pricey side, but if you’re smart (and have strong willpower) you can make a dinner entree last two meals.
