Iron Gate Restaurant Washington One of my favorite spots in DC. It’s definitely popular, but still seems more low key than a lot of other top spots in the area. The back patio here is gorgeous and the aesthetics are phenomenal. Excellent service as well. The food is incredible as well

Iron Gate has the most stunning outdoor space of any DC restaurant I’ve tried. This is a great spot for date night with a gorgeous patio, delicious food, and attentive service. I went during winter restaurant week and we loved everything we tried. Although the normal menu is expensive, I feel like you get what you pay for in terms of both quality and ambience. I look forward to coming back!

My husband and I came here on a cold night and the outside patio was well heated and absolutely beautiful. It truly was a beautiful setting. The food was absolutely delicious. It is pricy, considering each food option is not meant to be an entire meal and you are encouraged to order 2 or more menu items per guest. I appreciate that this was stated by the server at the beginning of service. We certainly will not be here each weekend because of the price but certainly worth coming periodically for a nice evening out with absolutely delicious food! The service was fantastic also. I was bummed to see we were charged a fee for the outside heater which I found to be unfair and should have been mentioned when we were asking if we want it on as well. Despite that, though, would certainly recommend! Truly a great experience.

Cozy. Romantic. Beautiful back patio and garden area. Food is delicious. I’d heard Iron Gate is a must-try date spot and wasn’t disappointed.

Absolutely loved the Chef’s Table experience! The food is incredible and the number/variety of dishes far exceeded my expectations. Sesame feta is in my top 10 plates of DC I think
