Istanbul Kebab House

The ambiance and atmosphere are absolutely delightful. It exudes a warm and welcoming vibe, which is no surprise considering it’s a restaurant personally run by the owner. This place holds the distinction of being the sole Turkish restaurant in the city, and it’s become a personal favorite of mine.

The Iskender Kebab they serve here is outstanding and truly authentic. And let’s not forget the Baklava; it’s like a slice of home, a genuine taste of traditional baklava. I highly recommend trying it out.

Overall, it’s a fantastic dining experience, a little taste of Turkey in the heart of the city. If you’re looking for a cozy and inviting spot with exceptional Turkish cuisine, this is the place to be

One of the best restaurant experiences I have had.

Everything was super efficient. The waiter was polite, got us seated and helped us with our order. Our appetizers came quickly and by the time we finished our lavash bread our entrees came out.

The service was excellent, the waiter was attentive. I always love rating restaurants based on how well they refill my water glass, and my glass was never more than 2/3 empty. I seriously cannot emphasize enough how efficient and attentive this waiter was, Ive been to a lot of restaurants and honestly havent seen one like this.

Oh yeah, the food is absolutely delicious too. I go to a lot of kebab places and the chicken here was super tender and well seasoned, much better than most kebab restaurants. The adana kebab was full of flavor, and the swordfish kebab was really amazing.

If you have never tried this YOU SHOULD! Kid friendly! My daughters LOVED the food. We ordered the Lavish Bread, Hummus, lamb kebabs, swordfish kebab and the kids meatball meal. We were all pleasantly surprised by the flavor and ambiance. The girls said it was the BEST hummus they’ve ever had and would come back again and again. Also William J was a great server, attentive, caring and knowledgeable.

Loved this place! We arrived nearly at closing after a very long drive (up visiting UVM) and they kindly seated us and treated us to a memorable meal. The swordfish and sirloin kebab was fantastic, as was the lamb. Highly recommend for a charming, authentic experience.

It’s absolutely delicious, especially my tenderloin kebab. It’s so tender and very tasty. Taste just perfect with the pickles’ veggies (onion and cabbage) and their rice. It’s our third choice of restaurant, actually. Went to the first and second, but it’s a long waiting, so we walked all the way to here from where we parked. I’m glad we did, though.

We were lucky that there was no wait during our dine as what our friend told us there is usually a wait here. The food was really good! If i could be somewhere in the middleeast then i could say it has an authentic taste! They accept credit/debit. Find a parking garage, if you’re lucky you could find a street parking. No high chair. Ambiance feels like in the arabian countries. Customer service is also great.
