"Greek Gastronomy at Its Finest: Taxim Restaurant"

Taxim restaurant This place has some of the best food I’ve had in Chicago. It can be a little pricey and the service is sometimes slow, but I really love the food!! Also I think service has only been slow recently because they are having trouble hiring servers so people are a little stretched thin. The Lentils are excellent, and there’s a gin cocktail that has tangerine in it that’s really good! Roof top is cool too

Dined here with spouse on a Saturday night and sat on the rooftop area. Waitress Ashley was helpful and patient in explaining the menu and recommending dishes. Had Dakos, Peynirli, Stuffed Cabbage, Kounoupidi, and Prassopita. All was delicious

All around a beautiful restaurant, serving some very tasty dishes. Lots of choices for smaller dishes accompany a choice list of main courses. Tzatziki is always a must, as every restaurant serves it up slightly differently. Very good flatbread, too. I’d heartily recommend the Ioánninas Peynirlí. Lahanodolmades is a must if you enjoy lamb and cabbage; very savory dish. Souvlakia was our main course, and it was delicious. If you manage to leave any room, try the baklava! Also, a very generous wine menu, with a wide selection of whites and reds. Would absolutely stop in here again.

This restaurant was f-ing DELICIOUS to every bite. Whoever writes poor reviews on the food is insane or maybe the cooks were different a few years ago, IDK. Also, our server and everyone else were extremely nice. Food came out quickly, great service, and the ambiance was nice! I’d eat here every week if I could. Can’t beat delicious Greek food
Great ambiance and service. The food was very delicious and had a wide variety of flavors. Our server was fantastic and decisive about giving recommendations from our wine down to our entrées. The setting is intimate and a great spot for a quiet dinner for two or a small group. If you’re looking for something outside of regular Greek fare (which they still have, albeit more nuanced and elevated — e.g., duck gyros), then definitely check them out for a unique experience.

Food was amazing and service was great too! Thihttps://usaeaterys.com/?p=3722&preview=trues was the only place we could get a reservation on short notice and we were so pleasantly surprised with how great the restaurant was. A bit pricey but will go back soon

I enjoyed my meal at Taxim as part of a large group. The small plates are perfect for sharing. Service was attentive. Food was delicious! I didn’t think I liked greek food until I came here.
Food was good, service defintely below average. The 22% forced tip (not for a large group, for 2 people) was a little slimy IMHO. Long waiting time and staff could have been more attentive.

Hostess wasn’t very welcoming. Rooftop was very nice. Atmosphere was great, nice music playing and a friendly vibe with the staff. Our server Ashley was extremely nice. Food was amazing! A little overpriced menu. First time here, would definitely go back finally This place was amazing! Recommended by a friend and everything exceeded expectations. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and quick! I loved the variety of veggie choices too! The giant beans bowl was definitely my favorite. All the feta was so good!! The duck gyro was good but I thought lacked something other than meat and the duck was a bit overcooked. The homemade French fries were awesome!
