I wanted to really like this food but I’ve had Jamaican good that I’d much tastier, seasoned, and flavorful. I got the curry chicken dinner and it was nothing to write home about. The jerk chicken pattie was dry. The portions are great though. Just wished the food tasted better!
My first time today and I Absolutely loved them!!! One of the best Jamaican food spots I’ve ever had!!! I work in DC and live in Baltimore…I stopped on the way home and got dinner for my kids since it was so good and they loved it too!!!

Th cocoa bread is the warmest softest ever. I usually get veggie patties. I get my husband to beef patties and jerk chicken sandwich. They have great vegetarian options. I always stop by when Uptown. And they bag your food with love! Truly! Stop by and support a local business with great food and service! Across the street from McDonalds.

A DC staple that has been around for years. I’ve been coming here for the last 20+ years, myself. Many food places in the area have come and gone and despite being directly across the street from a major chain fast food restaurant, they continue to thrive. Food is made fast and there’s great customer service. You can’t go wrong with the fish or jerk chicken sandwiches. Glad to see them still thriving during the pandemic and it really shows their staying power.
