My son Gunther and I have been loyal patrons of this charming diner for years now, and it’s become a cherished part of our routine. The staff here has a remarkable way of making us feel like we’re dining among friends, especially when it comes to their interactions with Gunther.
What initially began as a one-time visit has since evolved into a heartwarming tradition of frequenting this establishment. The genuine warmth and kindness exhibited by the staff towards Gunther have left an indelible mark on us.

This Family owned Resturant is absolutely 💯 out of this world yummy 😋. Great prices, great food, great staff & great people. The entire staff go above & beyond to bring you a wonderful experience as well. All you need to do is grab your Purse & or Wallet & head out to California Al’s Resturant.

Went to California Al’s for the first time for brunch after church. We were able to be seated outside almost right away. I feel like this place is a hidden gem. It was Easter weekend, and I’m sure the more commercialized, typical breakfast restaurants were packed.
I actually prefer these smaller spots. I got the pancake breakfast. The pancakes were delicious. Two of our teens got the breakfast burritos. They were HUGE! The servers were very attentive. We look forward to our next visit. Thank you!

Had French Toast Combo and Cranberry Mimosa. Boyfriend had biscuit and gravy combo with Pineapple Mimosa. Fast service, good fois and drinks. Sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful morning.
Would definitely recommend and will be back.

First time having breakfast here & it was great. Lots of choices for breakfast that all looked good. I decided on the Ham & Pineapple Omelette. Before you judge, it just works! It was so good! Tasted like a Ham & pineapple pizza
(Tip: get the salsa, it works as the sauce in a pizza lol) All things aside, it was a great unique omelette. My friend had the Bacon, Avocado cheese omelette & it was just as great too. 5 Stars for service as well.
We sat out on the patio & we were well taken care of regarding coffee, water & whatever else needed. Our server was very nice & polite & attentive. Overall, on this morning, on this day, it earned 5 Stars. One of Lodi’s best kept secrets is now in our breakfast rotation.

We love California Al’s! We have breakfast and lunch here regularly. Everything on the menu is great. We have enjoyed many a BBQ bacon cheeseburger (best in town) and their “Joe’s scramble”.
The onion rings are great too. The food always tastes fresh and homemade. The parking lot is a little tight, but there is plenty of street parking available.
