The Fish Bar is a great local seafood place that feels like something out of a Jimmy Bufet song. The environment is perfectly casual and light. The food is delicious, both the raw and cooked varieties. Portion sizes vary by dish, but are generally fair for the prices. The happy hour is definitely worth coming in for! Unlike most happy hours, there are actual discounts and good deals. The staff were all friendly and attentive. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again when I want good casual and light seafood mixed with good taps and cocktails. So friendly and pleasant. Loved the lobster roll and get the side salad. Delicious

The oysters were served nicely chilled, very refreshing, but a bit salty. Followed by a beautifully cooked salmon and nice crunchy finger potatoes with creamy sauce.. it was delicious. Unfortunately in a very small portion, and slow service. We left hungry…

First time here, and would most likely be our last Small, super casual seafood joint in Lakeview. Cool quiet vibe, probably best for groups of 4 or less. This restaurant will now be in my regular rotation. Happy hour is M-F 4-7pm and has stellar deals. $8 for any draft beer and two oysters? Say less! Service was quick and helpful. Everything we tried tasted good, my favorites were the oysters and fried calamari. Prices are more than reasonable, awesome bang for your buck!

This was such a unique find in this quiet Chicago neighborhood. Amazing place and love the decor. The food was so unique and amazing. Best chowder and gumbo. The lobster roll and the burger were so well done and tasted fantastic. Loved the vibe here and the service. Very well maintained place and clean. The service time wasn’t long and this wasn’t crowed when I went there. There is bar style seating as well as booths. The hearing is on point, warm and nice. Extra points for the canoe decor hanging from the roof and the hanging pendant lights. Give it a try, you won’t regret.

We had a delicious lunch today at Fish Bar. The service was a little slow, as they seemed a bit understaffed, but in the era of COVID, I really don’t mind. We got to enjoy the sunshine and the patio. I was seriously impressed with their East Coast oysters, they were HUGE and so yummy. I do feel their sandwiches can be a bit on the higher end of the price point ($17 for a shrimp sandwich, feels more like the price for a lobster roll). Overall, we had a delicious meal, and I would return if given the chance

Came for lunch on a Saturday. Fun vibe. Great service. Unique dishes. We had oysters, beat salad, crab cake sandwich and calamari. I’d order everything again but the crab cake. More cake than crab imo.

Zoe was an excellent server. Food was exceptional, had the fish and chip special. Great slaw, also there’s something extra special about the lemonade. Thank you
