"Zam Zam Foods Restaurant: Where Tradition Meets Taste"

Zam Zam Foods restaurant Small hole in the wall, amazing food, amazing portions, amazing prices. Hands down one of the best Indian/Pakistani foods I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend the biryanis and their mango lassi.

Zam Zam Foods restaurant

Some of my favorite food in Los Angeles. The raita is delicious, I would recommend ordering extra as its so good and usually the biryani is quite spicy. Biryani is a must, call ahead to ask what they are serving today. Naan is fresh and delicious. Their combination plates are also great for trying a little of everything, as the lamb is very good, too. Great plates for sharing. I wish I still lived close by so I could enjoy my monthly fix of Zam Zam’s.

Went to get take out. The restaurant is very clean with a small grocery section which was also very tidy. However, the space is a bit limited for large groups for dinning. We tried their Chicken malai tikka boti, Lamb korma and Mango Lassi. Loved each of the item. Food was delicious and full of flavor with perfect level of spices. Service was good too. Would love to go back and try their other items on the menu.

I ordered chicken biriyani. Potion size was really good but quality of biriyani rice was average. Overall I enjoyed the biriyani but didn’t get any onion salad like other restaurants give with biriyani. They gave little raita which is also ok not extraordinary. Another big issue with this place is lack of parking place. I would suggest to place delivery order through doordash instead of coming here to pick up.

Small halal Pakistani spot in Hawthorne. Came here with a friend for dinner around 6:30 on a Thursday. Most of the people who came for takeout, but they do have a couple of tables for indoor dining. It’s also a marketplace, though food seemed to be the main focus. We split a couple of dishes, including the biryani (note that the lamb is only available on the weekends), chicken tikka, garlic naan, and the combo kebabs (beef and chicken). The food portions were smaller than I was expecting but Sri reasonably priced.

Note that the lamb biryani is only served on weekends. There’s a small parking lot but when I went, there weren’t any spots available so I parked in the residential neighborhood behind the restaurant. The cashier Adib was a friendly guy. Credit cards are accepted. I’d recommend sharing the dishes family style, though if you’re here solo, get the biryani. The mango lassi was also thick and not too sweet. Overall, it’s a hole in the wall in Hawthorne.

Great food! We ordered seekh kabobs, garlic naan, and Karachi style chicken biryani. The kabobs and naan were the best I have ever had. Very tender, flavorful kabobs. The naan was incredibly fresh with an amazing garlic flavor on it. The naan was very soft and hot. The biryani was ok. Needs to be improved. Al Watan has better biryani but Zam Zam has better kabobs by far. They gave us our food with ritha which also needs to be improved. Other than that, you gotta try it! Will recommend to friends and family and will be back for more.

finally

It’s one of the best places out in LA for Pakistan cuisine, specifically for the people of Karachi.
