Had the Tom yum soup, spicy fried rice and drunken kee mow noodles and it was some of the best Thai food I’ve had in a while! Totally recommend people visiting DC to try it out if you’re near Chinatown

I will definitely return in the future if in the area, but will request and pay for a dinner portion for him since a normal amount of pad thai is never enough for a hungry teen. Definitely worth a visit if in the area and looking for a great Thai restaurant.

Took my Pad Thai obsessed son to Royal Thai after an appointment nearby and had a great experience. The pad thai was delicious as well as the drunken noodle and shrimp dumplings. The drunken noodle was a bit spicy compared to other restaurants I frequent, but not uncomfortably so and was still overall delicious and worth the slight heat. His only complaint was the size of the lunch carryout containers. They were quite small but were properly filled so I felt they were a decent lunch sized portion. He did however like the sweetness of the pad thai and said it was one of his top two based on other Thai restaurants we frequent.

The food was hot and fresh and ready in under 10 minutes which is a plus given the metered parking out front. We visited the store around 12:40 pm on a Monday and parking wasn’t as issue but at a busier time of day, I know this will not be the case.
