Sunda Chicago

More of a pan Asian menu these days still just as good as it was 10 years ago. I love that there was Filipino Korean and Chinese in addition to contemporary sushi.

Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had! Awesome restaurant and beautifully decorated, I highly recommend coming for a nice romantic dinner. I ordered the Red Dragon and the Spicy “Tail of Two Tunas” sushi rolls that blew my mind Fantastic Food and Service. It was so great to go back and dine at Sunda! Enjoyed all our favorites and fun cocktails. The Tiger Shrimp, Chicken Wings, dumplings and fresh Sushi were delicious winners. Cheers to the staff for all the extra effort in these tough times

They had a nice ambiance and great staff. They had a nice selection of vegan options which was a huge plus and it tasted great Our server did a great job explaining the menu and letting us know if we had order sufficient amount for our table. Kamayan Feast was delicious and would certainly recommend. Chef came out and explained the meal and thanked us for ordering it that evening.

The Gambler was a fun spin on sushi, 1 of the 6 pieces has ghost chili flake and if you get that one they can give you a free shot of milk to wash the pain away. Also comes with a poker chip good for a free chefs choice dessert on your next visit. Enjoyed the Smoke Show sushi. Pork belly and fried chicken steamed buns are a must. Drinks were refreshing.

we came here again after a year for dinner. The new menu is amazing and we love everything we got, specially the drinks. Personally I’d like the pork belly buns to come with less sauce because it did get a little messy and too salty. But besides that I was really happy with everything else we got Sunda is always a good choice.

I haven’t been in a while so I popped in for restaurant week. I had the crispy brussels, yellowtail, and salmon. I added a drink & dessert. The flavors were great. However, I was disappointed that the crispy brussels weren’t actually crispy. It wasnt what I expected based on past experiences. Maybe just an off night but overall good experience!

Went here for happy hour, got seated immediately as a party of three. All the food we tried was pretty decent, but nothing really stood out as amazing. Would like to come back for their actual dinner menu to compare, but happy hour pricing wasn’t really enough of a discount to bring me back for that.

The food was made to absolute perfection. Excellent, friendly, timely service. My boyfriend ordered and old fashioned and thought it was amazing. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone! The soy sauce was also the best I’ve had. Spicy edamame was not too spicy but seasoned perfectly. Panda sushi roll was delicious with a bit of kick to it, & The new York steak had an excellent char and the glaze was amazing, as was the sesame soy dip
