Sushi-san Chicago I don’t think I’m exaggerating when I say this is the best sushi I’ve ever had. I keep comparing it some very high end and expensive sushi restaurants I’ve visited and still think this is the best

Second time we came here and the food is phenomenal. I am allergic to shellfish so I go with the steak options. They seem pretty small but oh my God are they tastey. The prices are moderate and the ambiance is lively

They have a signature light beer and I always have atleast 2 or 3 of those. Sushi San is new on the corner of Clark and Grand but def a place you must try

Went here by complete chance. Was walking by and walked in. The service was 10/10. From the hostess to the server. Restaurant was packed and the hostess still found a table and made it work without reservations. The server was super friendly and very helpful.

Took the time to explain everything and answered all questions even though it was super busy. Only negative thing I have to say, was told the bar can’t make any specifically cocktails (mojito) because of how busy it was. If you’re in Chicago, def eat here. They also played great music

When we signed up for their newsletter we received a $22 credit for lunch. On Thursday around noon. Great music and quality sushi. Express lunch for $22 came with 3 sashimi, 3 nigiri, and 3 rolls, salad & miso soup. What a deal! Cold beer in a frosty mug was just the thing to tie it all together. Bravo!

One of my kids’ favorite restaurant during our trip to Chicago. We went there twice for lunch during the trip. We tried items from the express lunch menu and all day menu. Loved everything especially the miso salmon, vietnamese pork, charred cauliflowers, eggplant, and tako taco. Warm and friendly service staffs. Must go if you’re in the area.

Home of the best dessert in River North in my opinion (Japanese pancakes) and great portions of sushi

I would highly recommend sushi is on for a special occasion. They have a great menu and a lot of options to make any meal feel really special.

TIP: if you are reading this review and feel like you will definitely want to try it out sometime, go ahead and look for a reservation right now. They are really popular, so if you want to sit in vs. order take out just snag a reservation now for a later date
