Hometown Kitchen

Great place to get a great breakfast. Decent prices and delicious old-school breakfast. They have a good assortment of your standard breakfast option, and the portions they give you are decent. I especially enjoy the bread, I believe it is made in house.

Really great place to check out if your in the area, the locals love it. And if your looking for an authentic Lancaster County experience you can’t get more “authentic” than this. It’s not touristy in the least. Just a great Lancaster County breakfast.

A special restaurant with delicious Amish dishes and we ordered a strawberry salad and meat burger with sweet potatoes and steak with very, very delicious and clean mashed potatoes … Cole Slaw, Mashed Potatoes, Salad, Roast Beef, Chicken Pot Pie, Pie, Home Fries, French Fries, Cake, Chicken and Dumplings

OMGosh! Talk about home style cooking. That’s what it is like eating at this authentic Amish restaurant! Would you believe they post what ingredients are used on all their dishes. My kind of restaurant! Healthy, delicious, and inviting dishes. The servers are so nice, caring and super friendly. The murals in the Scenic Room are beautiful. Check out Hometown Kitchen!

Anyone who reads my reviews knows that I’m obsessed with a good breakfast. I went to the. Hometown with my two sons the restaurant was sparkling clean, and the smell of fresh baking bread greeted me. The breakfast was outstanding and massive.

My older son had sausage, gravy and potatoes. He had cherry pie à la mode for dessert, and I should know that there is a wide selection of pies. My younger son join me and having eggs, bacon, home, fries, and toast. The food was delicious, plenty, full and well priced. The help was kind and efficient.

Coffee and water were kept full throughout the meal. This is an Amish run business and I did not take photos out of respect to employees and other people eating in the restaurant, I will definitely be coming back and can’t say enough about the quality of my meal.

I ordered takeout and didn’t eat in. The girl on the phone was lovely and even when I went to pick up my foods, all the ladies were friendly and very helpful. The restaurant was immaculate. So quiet, so clean, not crowded. I was impressed.

And the food being served looked so delicious, I couldn’t wait to have mine. I ordered the ham balls with pineapple sauce, which I never would have ordered before, but I’ve been open minded and adventurous lately, wanting to widen my palate, the roast beef, mashed potatoes, baked potato, pepper slaw, broccoli and cauliflower slaw, sweet potato fries, and the shoofly pie.

Let me tell you, in NJ/NY all that food would have cost like $60. It was only $45. Plus, the food was amazing. Well, turns out I could do without roast beef, but nonetheless, I loved everything.

Hometown Kitchen describes the restaurant well. It’s a family restaurant/bakery with ‘home-cooked’ Pennsylvania-Dutch food and more. My breakfast was expertly prepared.

The breads and home fries were fantastic! The menu has a variety of local foods. Pot pies, scrapple, fruit pies, chicken along with soups, salads, subs and even some seafood options. This is a great place to experience Lancaster County cooking! You will not leave hungry!
