Had a very nice third visit to this establishment. Delicious. Got the sirloin, my mother got the salmon. The charcuterie and cheese spread was very good. Wine selection is very good. Windows were open, the breeze from the river was pleasant.

American bistro is an exception place of casual yet fine dining! The outdoor patio is located quietly in the middle of Chicago downtown inside the historic WirlPool building. You have a view of the river, the bridge, and skyline. The staff is excellent. We had delicious Kansas City style steak and crispy roasted cauliflower with pickled veggies. Chèvre Cheese with blueberry was mouthwatering! Overall a great restaurant for private events, celebrating with a party or just a date night for two! The menu has all the apps entries and desert. The interior is rustic and artsy and outdoor patio is easily accessible next to the bridge

We had an excellent experience at this place. Staff is super nice and service is great. The menu is very creative with a nice mix of vegan, vegetarian and meat based options. The interior is pretty. We were hoping to get a spot on the patio but couldn’t because of rain. Our food was delicious and the cocktails were on point. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu.
My family and I traveled to Chicago about a month ago and my kids recommended to go to “The Kitchen” for a nice dinner on the river. I have to say the food and atmosphere was excellent and our Server (Caitlin) was exceptional…all of her recommendations were spot on! We’ve since recommended our friends all come as well!

What an incredible dining experience at The Kitchen Bistro! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The food was simply outstanding, bursting with flavor and presented beautifully. Our server, Daniel, aka ‘Goose’, went above and beyond to ensure our meal was nothing short of perfect. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor made us feel truly valued as guests. And let’s talk about the view – breathtaking! Overlooking the Chicago River added an extra touch of magic to an already delightful evening. Five stars all around for The Kitchen Bistro – we’ll definitely be back for more!
I ordered the Thanksgiving prix fixe dinner from The Kitchen last week and I was blown away by how great it was! Fallon took my order and was exceptionally accommodating and then, to my great surprise, he was the one who personally delivered my meal with the reheating/plating instructions.
He was so nice and took time to answer my questions about the meal when I’m sure he had a busy day of deliveries ahead of him! Everything came packaged so nicely and the instruction sheet was well laid out and easy to follow.
The chicken liver mousse, the butternut squash dish, and the sauteed greens were three of my favorites that came in the package. Turkey itself was moist and delicious! This was my first time ordering from The Kitchen, but I can’t wait to try it again after my holiday Whole30!

Absolutely Amazing! Staff is very friendly and genuinely nice. Food is delicious. I mean, delicious. We tried the carrots, crispy cauliflower, halibut and tres Leches. Everything was on point. Service was
great. The view is amazing. Everything you can ask from a restaurant.

The food and ambiance at The Kitchen were great. We enjoyed the oysters and a recommendation from our server to try an espresso martini with Tequila in place of vodka.
