If you are anywhere near Lebanese Taverna, make an effort to eat here. The food, service and atmosphere are top notch. The Hummus Trio was delicious, probably the best I’ve had, in part due to the fresh-out-of-the oven, airy, light homemade pita bread. This was followed by the chicken curry entree which was aromatic, juicy and tender, with just the right amount of spice. We ended the meal with the home made bakalava topped w/pistachio ice cream. Sa7tayn Bil hana!

Wonderful memories and wonderful food. Eating with my advisor and her family, I had some Warak Inib. The grape leaves were tender and tangy. The ground meats inside the grapeleaves made for a delightful sour and earthy dish. This meal was concluded with some Arabian coffee that was rich with a hint of cardamom. Wonderful.

We ate at Zaytinya a few weeks ago; brought family in from out of town. Food was fabulous but the service did not rise to zaytinya’s standards. No restaurant is perfect. Based on how the manager responded to us and went above the call of duty, I’m rating 5 stars!!

Nice little place nestled under McPherson Metro – limited menu of salads, wraps and pitas. If they expand selection, 5 stars for what it is. You will be pleased with the wraps. While the meat filling of steak or chicken is very good, or perhaps falafel, the gem of Yafa Grille is the veggie toppings. There are nearly 2 dozen to choose from and they are all fresh and flavorful. You can nearly taste every veggie distinctly. The meat is almost a side thought but DO get a meat as all veggie is no cheaper. Very tasty, you will leave happy -wraps are good and large, try it!

Another terrific place for Turkish food Visited yesterday this place. Quick and great, exceptional service. The staff is polite and professional. The foods is amazing, especially kebabs and cigar rolls. Strongly recommended. . Great assortment of small plates and meals. Nice open atmosphere. Can be busy at times and parking can also be somewhat of a challenge.

Deeply disappointed in the quality of shawarma compared to the first time I visited here a few years ago. The chicken shawarma was clearly not fresh. It was cold, dry, and tasteless. The restaurant itself is a mess. Tables and floors don’t look clean and there are cobwebs everywhere.

A staple for takeout in the neighborhood! Fast and delicious. Friendly staff. Joojeh Kabob is my to go meal for the chicken, tender and flavorful, and the rice with the side to be mixed with the Must-o-Mooseer. The signature Kubideh Kabob, it is a signature indeed, it is really good too! Kashk Bademjan is my favorite starter. Hummus is good but not the best – creamy and with a more chickpea plain flavor.

One of the best late night eats in DC. Stopped by recently with friends and we had hummus, chicken shawarma, and fries. This place has always been consistent with their food, service and price. I always get the beef platters, wraps or bowls. With current Covid conditions, everyone is wearing masks and gloves. Food is carefully packaged and sealed when you come in for pick up. Don’t be turned off by the long lines. Wait times here are minimal. If you want quick Mediterranean food without breaking the bank this is your spot

The best shawarma in Washington DC, and if you try all the Arab restaurants, there is nothing better than shawarma and grape leaves. Most people say the price is high, and I say the price is very reasonable. It is enough that you eat and there is nothing left in the plate. I mean, if it is not good, you will not come 10 dollars for nothing and do not pay 10 and the food will look dry or not.

This guy who wasn’t wearing a mask dropped my chicken shawarma sandwich on the ground. He didn’t wash his hands. He tried to give it to me but I refused to eat it. He packaged it for someone else. Wish them the best of luck! First and last time here.
