Safari Restaurant in Washington DC This was such a great experience, I would recommend it to everyone. Great food, restaurant and service. We sat at the bar with my friend and both ordered goat meat to get the real east African experience and we were not disappointed at all. Food was good but the girl who took my order never brought my water to my table that I asked for. I had to ask the chef. And I saw her attentive to 2 other tables only. Plus I waited a long time for her to bring my check to my table. Needs better customer service that is why I didn’t tip.

Service is fast and friendly without being pushy. Food is wonderful. We haven’t had a bad dish yet. I fully recommend this place, even if you don’t like to venture into new foods!

I’ve been going here for years. The food has always been incredible and the staff is very friendly! The restaurant is clean and welcoming, and the decor is lovely. There are also plenty of vegetarian options! I’ve been coming to this restaurant for as long as I can remember and I’ll keep coming back!

The food was very good, especially the entrees. The meat was so incredibly tender and flavorful. The portions were nice as well. Their version of a green sauce is vinegar based and more like a chimicurry. Not a problem, it was delicious, but I prefer the green yogurt sauce found at other places. We got a Sambosay appetizer which was good and the bowlawnee which was just okay. The place itself lacks

However the location is very precarious and it is not handicapped accessible. At accessible. We waited 1hr 30mins to not be served any food. The establishment had 3 tables of ppl, so they were not busy and after 1hr and 30min wait with still no food we decided to leave. Service was horrible, I had to ask to order food after being there for 20mins. I really support Black Owned establishment but this was a very disappointing experience!!

This was my first time eating here and I thought the food was just wonderful. The staff were very attentive and friendly. They made sure our needs were met and even while the place was busy and their were o let two guys they did a fantastic job I would recommend this place again. Also the music was very nice and family friendly 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The buffet doesn’t have enough of a good variety. What makes this place popular is the live jazz and the free entry you’re able to order to take home at the end. If they could just improve on the buffet items I would go more often. Oh and Jennifer Lewis from Blackish was there

Where do I start? This is the best and most delicious restaurant there is in the silver spring/NW dc region. From jollof rice, samosas, plantains, and etc…they have the very diverse menu I know from all regions of the continent. Jason and Ariel are the most polite and hardworking chefs ever. Great customer service and overall, a great environment to be around. Thanks again!

I wish there was a negative star. Purchased a nice side order to get home and throw everything in the trash. Egussi was salty, jollof had an interesting smell and the few grains I tasted seemed to be old. Meat was three tiny pieces of some over cooked chicken, beef and fish. I knew there was a reason I stayed away from this place and today confirms it. Now I sit here with a queezy stomach praying I don’t develop food poisoning 😫
