This is a minority-owned, woman-owned, local shop. In the pandemic, places like these are struggling right now, so treat yourself and support them! Their curbside and pickup game is on point and online ordering is super easy. Bonus: Super nice staff and the owner clearly pours her heart and soul into the shop.

1st time back eating downtown since the pandemic! The black rice and poke is just as good as I remembered and there are some new sauces to try. The mango snow ice is incredibly tasty and a great summer treat too. Great friendly customer service and quick to order and get your food.

Tiki Taco Restaurant in Washington DC A cute tiny restaurant filled with flavor! On the walls you will see pictures of Hawaii, the decor is tasteful and the staff are helpful. We ordered the Island (Alaskan Cod), Jerk Chicken and Beef Tacos. Along with those we also ordered the Spicy Pineapple Wings. Everything was filled with so much flavor! If you’re like me and need extra spiciness to your food, use their house-made hot sauce- perfect!

The Kailua Pork taco was easily one of the top 5 tacos I’ve had in my life. The Kalbi Beef was also outstanding. The dude working the register was engaging and helped us pick out some tacos and even chatted with us while we waited. I will absolutely return to Tiki Taco! If you’re visiting, try it out; if you’re local, go here more often

Poké It Up Restaurant in Washington DC My favorite restaurant in Pentagon City mall Food Court. The food is always super fresh. If you’re not familiar with poke, it’s just like the chirashi bowl at most Japanese sushi restaurants, except not as pricey.

Similar fast casual model as other poke places popping up. Cucumbers are cut too large and avocado not ripe. Many premium items that would be extra elsewhere like avo, seaweed and seafood salad were included which was nice. All the ambiance of a mall food court overrun with teen tours.

Finally, I appreciate how accommodating Go Poke is; we try to reduce the amount of trash that we make. They provide silverware, but they also make it easy for you to bring your own. Their sturdy plastic lids are easy to wash and reuse for the next visit. The bowls are shred-able cardboard. This will be a regular place for us to visit. Highly recommend!

So we walked up and immediately was greeted by Will the manager which was amazing. Gave us a quick tour of the new restaurant and let us choose where to sit and we decided to go outside. Then we were greeted with water before the server Marvin came to introduce himself and get our drink order. Have to say this place is pretty amazing, modern and up to date. Ended up with the shoyu ramen and it was out less than 10 min after we ordered and it was pretty busy. Got a check back after the food came out as well to make sure everything was great
