Great service and ambiance. Omakase sushi was underwhelming with two pieces being cooked fish (octopus and eel) and half of the raw pieces didn’t seem that amazingly fresh like I’ve had at other restaurants. Wouldn’t recommend the omakase but might try to the rolls if I ever come here again

Great experience and great menu! The menu is very authentic. I know the restaurant is authentic the moment I spot Tsukemen! Definitely a place to visit if you want some wonderful Japanese food

Stellar restaurant with an excellent assortment of fresh sashimi and hot food accompanied with a warm vibe. Little to no wait. Would recommend!

After over a year of not dining at restaurants, I was FINALLY able to make it in and dine out at Umai’s patio. Everything from the prompt and attentive service to the delicious flavors of all the food made the return-to-dine-in experience super satisfying! We’ve been very happy with our take-out orders, but having the food “fresh” from the kitchen was even better

I have found dining in at certain restaurants, the service can be spotty or slow given certain staffing shortages and restrictions, but not at Umai! The outdoor patio dining is covered with open sides and located streetside (not fully weatherproof), and although they don’t have a huge space, they did have a couple 2 and 4 top tables plus a larger 5 seat table

I can’t wait to continue to support my favorite local Japanese restaurant

Modern and elegant internior with quality food that doesnt break the bank. Service was polite and we were seated almost immediately. Food took a bit longer but it was worth the wait. I highly recommend the chirashi! Fish was fresh and I liked how it came with the side of Japanese pickled condiments.
