The Shanty Restaurant Rhode Island

The spinach salad is served with a warm bacon vinaigrette which gets creamy almost a lard-ish appearance and creates a heavy taste, no zing. I had shrimp added to my the salad; they were a little salty which I enjoy. The mac and cheese is heavy on the velveeta. The seared salmon is served with delicious brussel sprouts. The tobiko on the salmon is for those who enjoy fish eggs.

I didn’t see much of a sear on the salmon. Our favorite dish was the Vietnamese lettuce wraps, the chicken was lightly breaded and super flavorful! Every bite was delightful. The warm brownie dessert was described as “perfect” by my friend. The menu is small, service was good and very accommodating! This restaurant has a locals vibe.

The Shanty is a must visit when you’re in Warwick. My husband and I have been here twice. The first time was for an anniversary dinner, and we lucked out trying a new place with good reviews. I’ve been looking for an excuse to come back (our occasional Duluth trip) and we finally made it back today.

It was every bit as good the second time around! I had the blackened salmon and my husband had the boulenaise, both delicious. The boulenaise is rich and flavorful, and came with polenta that was light as air. I had a Cherry Sour…wow! The place has a great look and the wait staff are fun and friendly. I’m looking forward to our next visit

My first time here and I was impressed. It is a nice cozy place , that offers a rustic vibe. They have a nice outside patio , solid bar, and comfy seating.

The staff were very nice and super attentive. If you like to enjoy a nice adult beverage like I do at dinner , they do a generous pour.

I enjoyed just about everything, from the water glasses they used, the bread choice , strait down to the dessert. The food was great. I had the shrimp and risotto special ( not on the menu) , and she had the gnocchi. The dessert was fantastic. Guess it would be fair to say I will be back in the near future.

Really good vibe, and good craft beer list. Some interesting drinks like “Loaded Mary” and “Veggie Mary.” I got the soup of the day (sweet potato) and order of the yam fries – which were huge and could’ve been a meal by themselves.

I had an absolutely amazing experience at The Shanty. Heather was my bartender and was so much fun and made such delicious recommendations. I wasn’t planning on dessert but she mentioned the adult chocolate milk and there was no way I wasn’t trying that! It was so so good. I will absolutely coming back!

Cute and cozy atmosphere and great service! Our server was Emma and she was very sweet and personable! I ordered the classic mimosa and the breakfast burrito, which was very tasty! Appeared a place that locals like to come to and it was …

We came from Ct randomly searching for a local dinner and were not disappointed!!! Karen, our server, was courteous and knowledgeable of specials not on the regular menu. Well, our dinner was outstanding! We had the swordfish and tv dinner’s, nothing short of exceptional! From Karen to the chef who cooked our dinner we had NOTHING to complain about! Definitely coming back on our next trip! With a special note to Karen, THANK YOU!

Great service from the bar, the specials sounded delicious. However the lobster roll was amazing, the lemon sauce was light enough to still taste the lobster. The fries w/ malt vinegar topped it off! Want to come back and try other items, cool spot for sure.
