Recommended foods

Oh my god, that’s the best Xi’an restaurant in Chicago. The price are extremely fair and food are just authentic and tasty. Their noodles and plain bread are two kinds of my favorite food and everyone has to try if they come to eat at here

Review one

This place needs more attention. Their flat bread sandwiches (rou jia mo) is delicious. Bread is perfect. If you’re familiar with mainland Chinese food you’ll find these items on the streets of Beijing in the morning rush as people are off to work. Taste just like I remembered 10 years ago. The hand pulled noodles are yummy as well. There most definitely is a difference in fresh noodles over dried packaged ones. The lamb skewers are more meatier than other Chinatown locations. Staff is your typical Chinese Place, so don’t be a Karen and just enjoy the food

Amazing Biang Biang (#60 on the menu). It was full of flavor and the noodles were perfect. I didn’t know noodles could be so fresh and soft. Already told my friends about this spot, I feel like this is a gem! Will be back to try to sandwiches soon which was another recommendation from the waitress

Review three

Great little no frills hole in the wall place. Perfect for a little bit of authentic Chinese Xi’an food. The noodles were fantastic

Review four

Had the Biang Biang noodles (#60). They were excellent and very similar to the ones I had in Xi’an when I lived in China. Great spring and texture from the noodles and the “broth” was well flavored. If you’re looking for some authentic Chinese food, it’s well worth a visit. One small thing to note is that prices are slightly higher ($11 compared to $10) than posted on the menu in the window
