Yemen Café and Restaurant new york

Yemen Cafe and Restaurant new york Had a craving for a lamb shank so I decided to come to Yemen Cafe. I’ve had this place on my must visit list for years so I finally made the visit.

It certainly did not disappoint. They start you off with a lamb broth soup, bread, and salad before serving the main meal, which comes quick. The lamb shank is fall off the bone tender and is truly one of the best I’ve had.

I would say for the type of restaurant, it’s a little more expensive than you would think but definifely worth it. I’ll for sure be back and want to try some of the other dishes as well, both chicken and lamb.

One of the best Authentic Yemenis Spot in NYC , if you don’t know now you know. This is a family owned restaurant in the heart of Downtown Manhattan serving up some good eats. At the moment they also have a outdoor setup , it first come first serve. Went with a group of friends we ordered few dishes. All I remember the Lamb Shank was delicious , it literally just fell of the bone. Also make sure to have their tea with like milk !!

The Yemeni food is all quite tasty, and don’t forget to ask for some tea, which is on the house.

Food was amazing a lot of small plates are available with your entree order. Loved the baba ganoush and the mixed grill. The outside dining was very nice.

Comment 4 :

This is the best ever Middle Eastern (not only Yemeni) food I have eaten since coming to the States.
The starters, bread and lamb broth are really delicious and prepared you to the next journey with the main course.

Food is super delicious, hosts are welcoming and clean, portions are very good compared to the price.
I’m really happy with this place.
I had to drive for almost 1.5 hour to come here but it really worth it.
