Real experience
The food was delicious. Meatloaf and Pork chops were both great. And the raw oysters were AMAZING, with pickled onions! Also loved the salad with Brussels and arugula. The waitstaff was professional and prompt! The ambiance was warm and romantic.

FLINT was absolutely fantastic. The service was excellent with an exceptionally attentive waitress. The cab cakes were panko crusted, crispy on the outside, soft and delicious on the inside with plenty of crab meat. The sauce was delicate but quite flavorful. I had the shrimp and grits. Being from Louisiana, I try to sample shrimp and grits everywhere I can. I was a bit concerned about the tomatoes and arugula, but the tomatoes added a great tang, and the arugula was not overpowering.
One of my favorite things was that the shrimp (which were rather large) had the tail removed – I hate getting messy trying to take the tails off. I also had a blueberry Anthem Sour Ale, which admittedly did not compliment my meal, but I was intrigued, and it did not disappoint.
I finished off the meal with a white chocolate raspberry cheesecake that was smooth and cream. The sauce was a perfect combination of sweet and tart. All around, it was superb. The meal was priced for what you would expect with a restaurant of this quality.

I was pleasantly surprised how good the food was. We’ve been coming here for a while. We did the arboretum on a Friday night and then came here afterwards for dinner. Good way to spend a Friday night in December. Service took a little longer than usual. They seemed short handed so consequently it took a while to get the food but it was worth the wait. I got the Chicken Fried Steak ($28) and my wife got the Fall Salad ($15) plus an extra side of Green Beans ($6). The green beans were amazing.

Highly recommend and I’m not a big green beans person. These were really good. The salad was tasty too so if you’re in the mood for a good salad, the Fall Salad is a good choice. Chicken Fried Steak was good too. It wasn’t bland like some can be. Good overall flavor and I really liked the Cream Corn. As you can see from the photo it’s not your average cream corn. It’s good and thick. A good place for a date night dinner. Ask to sit next to the fire. We’ll be back.

Best customer service ever! Nicest people! Sat down, gave us free salmon appetizer before we even ordered drinks! The food was great! Hubs wasn’t a fan of the grits but I thought they were fine. Overall amazing experience! Go try it!
