This place was recommended by a local team member for me. And boy am I glad I asked! It’s The Boiler Room. Of course it’s in a basent of a building. The decor matched, and I love blue collar work and décor. They had a good selection of tap beers.
The menu had plenty of options. But let me tell you… their Knoephla soup (potato) was stellar. Sat at the bar on a slow Tuesday night. My server Jase was funny and interactive. When I visit again I will definitely be coming back. Definitely a fun night at The Boiler Room! The service was phenomenal. He joked with us and chatted with us; very personable.
Our food came out quickly and it was nice and warm. The chairs were actually quite comfortable. It was a quiet night so we were seated right away, no wait! The drinks were a little on the strong side, but very good. The fries were crispy and not too salty. The atmosphere was calm, and the music wasn’t too loud. It was a great night. I’d probably go back if I had the chance.

We enjoyed the scotch eggs. I had the chicken and waffles which I enjoyed a lot, but the sausage was a bit too strong for me. Chris had the meatloaf melt which he enjoyed but he was not overly impressed. The atmosphere was interesting reflecting a bit of steam punk.
Very good! We thoroughly enjoyed both dishes. The Gouda Mac and Cheese was topped with divine tender bits of short rib. The meatloaf was huge with a rich peppery gravy. We would come back here. We’re from out of town so don’t get to Fargo often, but glad we found this place. Super unique location and atmosphere

A hidden eatery beneath the Fargo city streets! Wonderful service from Laura & engaging conversation from Jeff. I ordered both the steak bites & chicken pot pie. Chef Q served up the 2 dishes perfectly cooked with delightful flavors.
The two sauces that came with steak, complemented each other for a a rich taste that you could adjust to your palate & the chicken pot pie took me back to a time in my grandmother’s kitchen when hearty delicious meals preceded frozen tins of premade meals.
A clean, comfortable place, The Boiler Room seems to be a popular place as they were quite busy (for a Tuesday) when I arrived & I was grateful it was one of the rare Fargo restaurants open 11PM.

An awesome basement spot with a good beer selection and good food in downtown Fargo. I came in through Robert’s Alley and was loving the environment inside. It’s pretty relaxed with a nice bar and plenty of seating away from the bar. Laura at the bar was great, good vibes and good conversation. Definitely a go-to spot in Fargo, did not disappointment every time I visited.
