Real experience

The chicken katsudon wasn’t fantastic but was okay. I’ve had much better tonkatsu so that’s why I think it wasn’t as good as possible.

I really enjoyed my chilled udon with tempura. It tasted delicious, and simple.

My date had a sushi platter which was tasty and not too expensive.

Ooooh I waited so long to finally get a spot here! There’s not always a wait, but whenever I was walking by at rush hour there was one! I think it moves pretty fast because it all is very efficient when you walk in. Tables are close, but nothing new for a New Yorker.

We didn’t go there for elbow room did we?! The ricotta edamame dumpling with truffle sauce alone is worth overhearing your neighbor’s conversation. The crispy rice is fantastic and some of the best I’ve had. All the rolls were yummy too. Definitely would say you can get the classics, but urge you check out their more unique dishes – they’re special! 10/10 will go back.

Momoya is one of my absolute favorite restaurants. My husband and/or I eat here almost once per week. It’s always fresh and delicious. We bring people here all the time from out of town and they always fall in love with it.

Favorites and musts are the bento box as well as the crispy tuna rice but I honestly love almost everything. Come during lunch as there is almost never a wait for a table and slightly reduced price menu. Dinner doesn’t take reservations and there is almost always a wait.

Only negative thing to say is that the atmosphere was SO much nicer when they had the garage doors they could raise for an open air experience. This is no longer possible because of a hideous wooden shed they affixed during the pandemic to the front of the restaurant for additional seating.

The food isn’t cheap, but the experience is almost always delightful.

Went to this restaurant with my friends unexpectedly, but I was glad that we did. We ordered Momoya bento box (salmon teriyaki), Eel on rice, and another thing which I don’t remember the name. Also, we got our favorite plum drink that cost $57 for the big bottle. Food were yummy and the service was awesome. We did spend some times after the check but no one rushed us to leave the restaurant. I would come back again to try their sushi

Momoya Sushi, Please!  As a lover of sushi, I really enjoyed this place. The customer service was great and the food was incredibly fresh. I enjoyed the Dragon Roll, the Yellowtail Ceviche and the Lobster Tacos. Everything was so good. I would definitely come back here again.
