The Taste of Georgia with a variety of phkali was colorfully pretty and tasted yummy and fresh. The Adjaruli kachapuri is a must and they mix the delightful hot cheese and egg for you. Savory and the right amount of salty flavor. I loved the Georgian salad, which was crisp and fresh and nicely acidic from the wine vinegar. The lamb chops were tasty but one of them was cut thicker thus cooked a bit unevenly so it was very rare, but the cooked ones were seasoned well and tasted great.

Great food, fast service, and beautiful location! We ordered a lot for two people and ended up taking some leftovers home. Sometimes it’s hard to gauge the serving portions of restaurants, but the portions here were fairly sizeable in my opinion and the pricing is decent for this style of dining in NYC. I really enjoyed all the food (and it came so fast!), especially the chicken kebab, the Taste of Georgia, grape leaves, and the khinkali (dumplings)! Highly recommend!

One of our favorite restaurants for entertaining out of town guests.

Dishes are unique and delicious.

Service is friendly and genuine. The servers are all so knowledgeable of the Georgian cuisine and customs. It’s like we’ve traveled to Georgia and having local meals.

The outdoor space is the best for summer dining. The indoor space is so welcoming and comfortable.

Highly recommend the traditional bread with egg and melted cheese, the dumplings, the desserts (pelamushi and kortoki). Everything else is just as delicious.

We can’t wait to share great memories with friends at Chama Mama again.

Tried it for first with my colleague recommendation and was not disappointed. Different style of cooking and taste delicious. Highly recommended. The variety of cocktails along with so many vegetarian options serves the place very well. The staff is very friendly, communicative and understanding and greeted us very kindly.

My friend loved the spicy chacha margarita, it leaves a tingle on the lips. We liked their wine flights, definitely recommend the Amber wine flight so you can get a good sampling of Georgian qvevri wines which are very unique and tasty.

Their honey cake was very sweet with a heavy dulce de leche flavor. The korkoti wasn’t personally my preference, a bit light and watery but my friend enjoyed it.

For a REAL good time get a chacha flight of three with your desert- these are Georgian pomace brandys that are strong enough to be shared with the table! Whoowee!

Our server Nika was friendly, and sweet enough to humor me saying “Madloba” (thank you in Georgian) and taught us a few more Georgian words!

Overall a great experience, definitely want to go back and try more dishes!

This was such a great visit! We were seated in the heated outdoor balcony and it was such a beautiful space. All the food we had were delicious and the staff provided wonderful recommendations. Everyone working there was so friendly and helpful. Couldn’t recommend it more!
