Real experience

Highly recommend the buffalo satay with spicy peanut sauce, and elk ravioli with mushroom cream sauce and a drizzle of truffle oil. Warm fry bread with honey bourbon butter feels like a warm hug. Natalie took great care of us and we promised to be back in the area.

All of these five stars are for our server, Emily. She was the nicest! My steak was overcooked and too tough but I didn’t say anything, and it was fine since everything else was great.

We also visited Devil’s Tower while passing through on a road trip and had a little fun with the mashed potatoes.

Only suggestion would be for the hostess to be more welcoming. I called in before to see if we could snag a reservation and she was really grouchy on the phone, and was equally grouchy when we arrived. I didn’t catch her name but she had blonde hair up in a pony tail. We almost decided not to go because of the phone experience, but so glad we did since Emily was stellar.

I can’t recall having a better steak anywhere, ever. I would recommend having a reservation. Excellent service, excellent food, and the atmosphere was perfect. I had filet mignon with a side salad.

My wife and I and family members (party of 5) came to the restaurant to have dinner tonight. Kelsey, our waitress, was friendly and sweet. She joked with me and our table the entire time which made our experience memorable and fun. The food tasted great. The atmosphere was laid back and warm. The fireplace in he middle of the restaurant was cool. This is a place a recommend anyone to try. Thanks again, Kelsey!

We celebrated my birthday here and it did not disappoint. Cole, our server was professional and gave great recommendations. Everything we ordered was delicious and cooked appropriately. We really enjoyed the experience and we’ll definitely be back.

Cannot recommend this place enough! This was one of the highlights of the trip when we were traveling to Rapid City! The food was simply mindblowing and the portion size was something we didn’t expect. The waitress who serviced us that day was kind and helped us figure out the menu and recommended signature items that just hit the bull’s eye. The ambiance was classy and calm.
If we are ever back in the city would love to visit again! Great job Dakotah Steakhouse staff!

Went with friends – my second visit in 3 nights. Dakotah was the perfect atmosphere for having an unforgettable evening.
Service was amazing, food was astounding: Three Sisters Soup was perfect, Prime Rib was delectable cooked and seasoned perfectly.
I had dessert this time and boy am I glad I did. Kuchen is South Dakota’s play on creme brulee and was fantastic!
Next time I’m in Rapid City I’m stopping back in.

This is absolutely the best meal we had in Rapid City. The steak was excellent as well as all of the other food we had. The service was great as well. I would highly recommend dining here if you’re looking for an awesome steakhouse.
