Real experience
The food here is fresh and flavorful! Arrived with friends of four and we were sat quickly. The drinks are gooood and the vibe was fun. Carlos took care of us at our table. He was knowledgeable and a joy to be around. The experience he gave us is why people go out to eat, it’s to have fun with others. We had drinks apps and dinner plates. A great night out. The food, drinks, Carlos, the music… I will definitely come back here for another fun night out.
Cheap margs & really great food! Definitely will be coming back here. Had a party of 10 set for a reservation but there had been a small issue with them finding it but was resolved afterwards. This is great for any occasion or just to grab a few round of drinks . A few are around 5$+ and really good

Place is fun!! I saw a couple double fist drinks, lol. I was like “good sign.” I brought my kids, and it was fine, but I’d like to come back without them. Food was good. I really enjoyed mine. I must commend the staff. I mistakenly typed too much money in the tip. Our waiter alerted me, and I was able to fix it. I don’t remember your name, but thanks!!!! I must recommend this place for that alone. When I’m in the area, watching a show at Joyce Theater, I’ll stop by.

This burrito bowl was absolutely delicious and exactly what I was looking for. Very affordable and comes with different stuff like rice, beans, chicken, chips, cheese and a side of sour cream. Nachos were ok. I would definitely be coming back for the bowl. They have great cocktails deals for $5 and up.
Nice atmosphere, it can get very crowded. Staff is very friendly.

Great food and drinks, good customer service, just a bit crowded but that’s NYC! Overall, my friends and I had a great experience here. The Barbacoa Tacos and Tinga Chicken Empanadas are so delicious, especially when paired with their house-made green sauce. I ordered the Carne Asada Tacos as well but preferred the Barbacoa due to flavor and texture. The drinks are made well (I recommend the Coquito and Passionfruit margarita) and there is an automatic 20% gratuity. The music and ambience are great as well despite how crowded it can get.
I would recommend coming here in a large group or even all on your own for an evening in midtown. There are various seating options and you can make a reservation ahead of time.

I checked out El Coco’s Chelsea location last night and truly enjoyed everything from the service, to the food, and especially the drinks. Our server was Carlos and he was a great help when we asked for recommendations or suggestions off of the menu. We tried the El Coco Margarita which is a coconut flavored margarita (as per his recommendation) and it was delicious! Definitely will order more when I go back.
It’s so cute inside & of course they play great music! They have a location on the UWS and and Hell’s Kitchen. We were told that Fridays & Saturdays they have a DJ, so we will definitely be back!!
