Real experience

Ate breakfast here and it was fantastic. The steak in the steak and eggs was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The country fried steak breakfast was also very very delicious. Waiting staff was friendly and attentive. Friendly atmosphere. Would recommend this place to anyone. We had a very good experience.

Exceptional food. Only slightly higher then mcDonalds. Quality of the food makes the experience. Not stingy on amounts. We had just been to the black hill SD and this was do much better then we had been having.

Over the past few years, I have visited this place on two separate occasions while traveling. Have not had food at this business but sure have enjoyed the service, drinks, and atmosphere. The owner of this restaurant/saloon is really cool and welcoming! Five-stars!

We seated ourselves and were greeted in less than a minute. My wife ordered the Navajo taco and I had the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes. Both of us were happy with our selections and the prices were very reasonable.

Don’t judge a book by its cover! This is a great place. Not much to look at on the outside, nor the inside for that matter. Feels like a dark, local bar…. Service and food were fantastic. My friend and I bellied up to the bar just before dinner started. We had run the Sandhills Marathon and were starving for a meal. Our bartender who was extremely friendly helped take care of us with prompt drinks and meals.

I was able to make the bacon cheeseburger into an 8oz instead of 6 to order it medium rare. It was cooked to perfection and hit the spot. If we had more time in Valentine, we would have eaten here again. The steaks looked great! Once dinner time hit, the place filled up fast! Highly recommend!!

Was my first time in Valentine and enjoyed the experience. The food was great and the people were just as good!

We stopped here for lunch while visiting Valentine for our honeymoon. The food was amazing! I had the hot beef sandwich and my husband had the bunkhouse burger. Both meals were delicious! The staff were all very friendly and attentive. I definitely recommend stopping here!

We were in town for Cowboy Class Wrestling tournament. Was little worried about decent place to eat on a Sunday. We came to Bunkhouse They were just having Buffet that day. Adults were 18 bucks but kids 8 and under were free so it kind of evened price a little.

Food was excellent! It was 12:30 so there was breakfast food bisquits gravy omelets waffles and then there was chicken and a really good taco casserole. They also had salads. We have three picky grandkids 4, 6 and 7. and they filled thier plates 3 times and absolutely loved the food. Chicken was really amazing. Definitely glad we stopped.

We stopped in while traveling. The wind was blowing with 50 mph gusts. We stopped in and enjoyed a very tasty burger, fries with cheese curds.
