Real experience
I consider myself a taco connoisseur. I have had tacos from many many places. Honestly, chavas has NEVER disappointed. I know when a taco is good when im not pulling pieces of fat out of them, I never have pulled any meat out of my tacos form there, I’ve had chavas many times. It is one of my favorite places to go and get tacos. I see some bad reviews from people who are getting tacos with lettuce and tomato’s and yellow cheese.

The always reliable taco joint at any time of day! Never have to worry about the quality of food here even with the low prices – you get a lot! I’ve gone here for a few years, at the end of a fun night out or late dinner when most places are close to closing or closed. Solid food and service
This place is very convenient being it is open 24 hours. Problem with is for the past 2 times I’ve walked in after work around 2am my order has been wrong. Prices are a little pricy for mexican food but the food itself is decent. I have to give a 3.5 star due to the food being wrong twice at a time a person is not going to leave their house again. I say verde anywhere I go as i am not a fan of the red. Lesson learned. Always check your food before departure folks!

I had to come here after hearing about Chavas tacos on the radio station over and over! Highly highly recommended, super cute spot and food was served nice and warm. I opted to ordering the nachos de asada and let me tell you, big portion, well presented and delicious full of bursting flavors. My son opted for the tacos de lengua and I was a bit skeptical of his choice because a lot of people don’t cook it well but boy was I wrong, taco was soft and juicy with a lot of flavor, the tacos de birria as well very tasty. Highly recommend this 24 hour taco joint.My dad would eat here back in day 15+ years ago. Not sure if it is the same owners but he would drive from the north side & bring us here as kids. Just brought my kid here for the first time. Let me tell ya it was fantastic. You want homemade tortillas & salsa this is the place. Thanks/gracias God bless!

Stopped here in a whim on a Saturday for lunch. It was busy, a lot of people waiting/coming in for phone orders, but the service was quick! I so happy to see vegetarian/vegan options.
