Pranakhon Restaurant

One of the best Thai spots in the city! We had dinner with friends here and had a wonderful experience. The inside of the restaurant gets very busy and could take a while to be seated, so we sat in the heated patio outside. Also, they only seat you if your entire party is there.

For the four of us, we got the shrimp tom yum soup to share which was bursting with flavour. I highly recommend starting with it. All the other dishes we tried were also delicious, including the Pranakhon Pad Thai and the green curry.

The service was good, and our food came out at a reasonable time after ordering.

This place is impressive! They have some dish that are different from other Thai restaurants. We love the fried tofu skin that has taro inside. And the whole fish is boneless and the spicy level is just right. The portion of every dish is just right, not too big or too little.

We love the atmosphere and the interior decoration. A lot of noise though so it’s quite hard to talk. They charge $15 cake fees like other places and the server is absolutely friendly and helpful. Price is reasonable and we definitely would love to come back for more!

So, so good!!!! From the food to the service, this place was a 10/10. Favorites were the fried taro and red curry. Every dish was so flavorful and made with fresh, high quality ingredients. So impressed. Will definitely be back!

This Thai restaurant is hands-down one of the best we’ve ever stumbled upon. We devoured the Pad Thai, soft-shell crab curry, and curry chicken pancake, and let me tell you, each dish was a culinary party in our mouths! The flavors were so incredible!

The staff? Absolute gems!

If you’re looking for a place to treat your taste buds and enjoy some top-notch hospitality, this is it!

The interior design is absolutely stunning – from the intricate spirit house at the entrance to the intentionally messy electrical cables, they’ve really nailed the vibe! And the food? Oh, it was incredible. The pad thai was packed with juicy prawns, and they have a wide selection of Thai-inspired cocktails too. Definitely another authentic Thai food spot worth checking out!

I went on a Saturday at 4:30 pm and got seated instantly but it did start getting really busy around 6 pm. I used to live in Thailand and I really loved the ambience of the place! The vests that the staff wore replicates what motorcycle drivers wear in Thailand which I thought was a nice touch. I sat at the bar alone and made good conversation with the friendly bar staff.

They made recommendations on food to me and the people around me based on our preferences, allergies, familiarity with Thai food, etc. The food itself was delicious! I had the kanom jean green curry, papaya salad, and the Thai tea. Definitely need to go back to try their other dishes!

finally

Best Thai in town! Guaranteed with Michelin Guide 2023 and Michelin Bib 2024. If you’re thinking about authentic Thai restaurant think about “Pranakhon” and you will never regret it. Food is legit, service is incredible, atmosphere is amazing and restaurant itself is gorgeous. Make sure you get a Resy especially for dinner cause they are super busy restaurant and everyone wants to try them. Recommended!! 5 stars
