Galley Hatch Restaurant

First… Baron French Dip is back. The original one. The best French onion soup in New England. Best buffalo chicken fingers with a hot honey glaze and real blue cheese dipping sauce. I have never had a bad meal. Bakery is fantastic. Carrot cake is wonderful. Enjoy!

Galley Hatch is a long time favorite of our family, going back to the early 1970s where you would go to the counter, place your order, sit at a table and when you were called, you’d pick up the tray and dig in. Their hard-earned success enabled them numerous renovations, now there are 5+ different seating areas. Our faves are the fireplace room and the rear corner of the bar. Nice and cozy. A Monday lunch was served by very pleasant and cordial Talia.

My Reuben was classic, nicely grilled with lean corn beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and TI dressing. Delish. The fries were luke-warm. The black Angus burger was overcooked. French Onion soup was good with nice gooey Swiss cheese. Should you not have a loyalty card and are local, join up. Monday is triple points day, allowing you future discounts on the tab. It’s best to redeem those points on any other day or night.

I had my daughter’s baby shower here. Jeffrey was our coordinator and Emma our waitress. They did a phenomenal job taken care of our needs for the day. Jeffrey was very helpful and attentive. I would definitely recommend this place for functions and the food was absolutely delicious. Everybody had a great time in relaxing function. Thank you again for making my daughter’s day very special.

I went with a good friend and had a wonderful time. The waitress was pleasant and quick, the food amazing, and the atmosphere cozy. Would definitely go again. The seafood is delicious, and the fried zucchini was pretty good, too.

We went here on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy. We didn’t have to wait though, which was nice. I have been to the Galley Hatch in the past and have never had a bad experience.

Their food is always fresh and delicious. I ordered the lobster mac and it was so good! My boyfriend ordered the chicken stir fry and I heard no complaints! We stopped for dessert on our way out and I grabbed a fruit tart that was very tasty! My only complaint was that a runner brought our app out she dropped one of the sauces and just left it on the floor by my feet.

Our waitress came over and seemed pretty mad that the other waitress left it for her to clean, which I would be also. It was a little awkward. Food was great though and I’ve had so many great experiences in the past it is still a 5 star!

Galley Hatch has been one of my favorite restaurants for years. After introducing my entire family to their menu, we have all developed a shared love of their dishes.

The atmosphere is relaxing and not uptight. Every room has different types of seating. We personally prefer the lounge and outdoor deck. During our most recent visit, on Mother’s Day, we had a phenomenal; meal. The Baked Feta Dip & Calamari is a must try; you will end up making repeat trips just for these bad boys. The specials menu also had various options for the holiday. The Swordfish was priced right for a huge portion.

Shout out to the hostess for making sure we got prime seating on the outdoor deck. If you are ever in the area, stop here, the menu has something for everyone
