Real experience

The food there is good, usually with a different kick or variant spice application. I loved the ambiance. It gives the vibe of an upscale restaurant without taking itself too seriously. The staff were very helpful, attentive, and respectful. While parking might be tricky in downtown Montgomery, it was worth it to dine in at central restaurant.

This is a must visit in Montgomery! We were seated immediately and the service was outstanding! They have a good selection of beers on tap. We had the pimento cheese, wedge salad, and Spanish octopus. The pimento cheese was incredible, especially with the crackers. The house salad dressing, I’d just like to bottle that and take some home! The Spanish octopus was cooked to perfection! Not even close to overcook d and absolutely delicious. Again, this is a must go to place!

One of our absolute favorites!! The rotating menu is perfection so I have only eaten the same thing once in the 20 or so times I have dined here. And Chef Jason is so talented in his creations and executions. Everything is always so balanced. Please save room for dessert as Chef Marie’s creations are magazine worthy, truly!! So lucky to have this amazing place in town.

Wow the food was absolutely delicious and the service is always five star. Portion were hearty and fitting for the price. You have a view of the chefs making the food and the ambiance is quite relaxing and even romantic. Usually I dine with Nenlay (who is fabulous!!), but my server, Josh did a great job giving some excellent recommendations. Can’t wait to come back!

Central has been my Montgomery favourite for a year now, but I only remembered to write a review just now. My most recent visit was for a conference and we were wonderfully served by Brette on a Thursday night. Her moscato recommendation pretty much had us in love. We got the gochujang lamb for the appetizer and the sunday sauce + steak for the mains. The atmosphere was very warm and spacious, we’ll be back very soon! Thanks Brette for an amazing night.

Truly one of the best restaurants I have ever been to, and I have traveled all over the world. And yes, I’m surprised this is in Montgomery, where I occasionally travel for work and always make sure to hit Central.
First, the cocktail list is amazing. I’ve tried half of it and not one dud. Next, maybe the best single dish — gojuchang lamb ribs. It’s truly a top-five all-time dish.

My only complaint is that it’s not a whole entree.
The rest of the menu is amazing, too, from steaks to chicken to pasta to seafood. I have been here many times and have been repeatedly impressed to where I’m writing a review. Prices are fair given the quality. Other folks who also travel the U.S. (and world) agree Central is jaw-droppingly phenomenal. If you are in Montgomery, COME HERE! They have bar seating, but regular seating very well may need a reservation.

wonderful experience at Central for dinner last night. Beautiful restaurant, romantic ambience. Outstanding food! Excellent service. We reserved a booth ahead of time, very comfortable. Extensive drink menu– at reasonable prices– of cocktails, wine, and beer. Highly recommend!
