Real experience

A wonderful BBQ joint!
This place is very well known in this area (northern part of Alabama that is).
My friend had Beef Brisket Platter and I had Ribs Platter. Both were really good but I think Brisket is better. I think I’ll have brisket next time I go there.
I don’t think anyone needs my recommendation for everyone loves this place but I do recommend this place!

The pork loaded baked potato was very large and delicious. The brisket and mac and cheese were delicious too. Save room for the homemade pies. The coconut cream and peanut butter pies were both delicious. The service was excellent, and the waitress keep our glasses filled even though we were thirsty and drank a lot. Excellent experience.

Loved this place. I am an out of towner from up north. My husband would describe me as a Yankee. I felt so comfortable here. Our waitress was patient and funny. The food was excellent… Loved the white BBQ sauce and the lemon icebox pie was delicious.

I’ve had this place on my list for a while now and was finally able to stop in. The chicken with Alabama white sauce lived up to the hype for me. I also had brisket which was excellent. Service was quick and friendly, my meal was out in a short time despite them being busy during lunch. I’d also recommended trying a dessert; the lemon meringue pie I had was a terrific finish to the meal.

We live quite a bit away, so only get to Big Bob’s a couple times a year, but always enjoy. Have never been disappointed. It’s a simple diner atmosphere, very friendly & dependable good food. The mac & cheese is awesome!

We were driving on the interstate and intentionally stopped here to try the bbq. Loved the white sauce, that’s different from what we are used to. I tried the chicken and the brisket. Would definitely recommend the brisket and the coconut pie. Can’t wait to stop in again next time I’m around the area.

This was AMAZING!! Best food, unbelievably great service, the BEST BBQ I’ve had in years. People here were so friendly. A woman in line to be seated told me to make sure and try the white sauce, I did and even bought a bottle to take home. The awards they have they have earned. If you haven’t been here it’s worth the trip!!!

We love big Bob Gibson and Chris Lilly. The food was pretty good, although the slaw I just do not understand. I will say that if you look at the pictures posted I don’t believe that Chris Lilly and the family would be happy about the cleanliness of this restaurant. Honestly, I just expect more out of such a high caliber Family and pit masters.
