The Dawson: Where Every Meal is a Celebration

The Dawson restaurant The service was great, the cocktails were strong & well mixed and the cheese curds were dynamite and the chicken sandwich was very flavorful, but a lot of the table ordered the chicken & waffles and the waffles

The Dawson restaurant

Nice place, there was live music when we were there, around 6 p.m. I had Curry cauliflower entree which is in tikka masala sauce, also ordered chicken additionally to that and OMG it was amaaaaazing! I loved it so much that I’m sending my first review ever to google maps Great spot for an event. We had the private room upstairs for a bridal shower. The service was great and so was all the food and drinks There was event another event on the other side of the bar, kinda split room, and it wasn’t too loud or overwhelming.

We had a great time and will be back for regular service menu Their drinks are very good, fresh and tasty. The tuna tartare was delicious but my main plate, which was rigatoni pasta was spacey and the menu didn’t mentioned, the server didn’t offer anything in exchange and the food took a little bit longer than expected. Super nice outdoor area and very well decorated

Great local spot with a modern menu and a charming atmosphere. There was a mix up with my order and the manager (maybe owner) went above and beyond to correct the issue. I can trust that I’ll have tasty food and incredible service every time I come here.
We came here for Chicago restaurant week brunch and it was beautiful in the restaurant. My favorite item I had was the parfait. It was light and delicious. The food was great. Our server was attentive and personable. I can’t believe I have not been here before. I will definitely be coming back here to taste the rest of their menu.

Visited the Dawson for brunch. There were no reservations available so we sat at the bar. The staff was very friendly and the coffee was great. Very few vegetarian options for brunch. Enjoyed the chicken and waffles quite a bit. Quiche was delicious

Took my parents here for dinner and we had an awesome time. The food was soooo freaking good and the drinks were refreshing and strong! We sat outside and it was a beautiful day. The food and drinks came out really fast and our server was super nice and funny! Would definitely love to come here again

Had a really great night last night , want to give a shout out too the servers manny & his New co-worker Claudia that just started she was very awesome , great attitudes from both , very great workers overall at that with great vibes and and a great attitude , also food was great shout out to the chef   . Very recommendable place & the Dawson was very delicious as so was the drink ‘ PUT A BERRY IN IT

Three of us had 2 appetizers, 2 drinks each, and an entrée, it was approximately $130 per person. Everything was wonderful. Our server Sydney was perfectly attentive and helpful. The sticky duck wings were a delicious appetizer, and we had the Brussels sprouts appetizer to share with our meal.

The Dawson Burger & fries were delicious. My partner’s paparadelle with rabbit was delightful as well. I ordered the curry with a side of chicken— YUM! The curry isn’t overwhelming, it’s the right amount for this dish, and has just a mild kick of heat. So good! The chicken breast was cooked perfectly— not dry, with excellent flavor.

I’m eating leftovers for breakfast as I write this, and it’s still fabulous, so I thought it was worth leaving a review. I didn’t catch any pics of the drinks, but they were also great. My partner had 2 Old Fashioneds, I had 2 “Ceci n’est pas …French Cocktail”, and our friend had 2 Cosmopolitans. They were beautifully presented and sooo good. Beautiful restaurant! Lovely staff. The only thing I would change is adding just a little bit of sound mitigation so that we could talk less loudly at the table.
