Delicious food all around. The mole is a must have in whatever dish or separately. You will not be disappointed! We got different enchiladas and you could not go wrong. Even the king of flavor town suggests this restaurant!

We were reluctant to try this restaurant because we are from Texas and thought we can have this at home. I am so glad we came in! The food was great, the service was great. Marjorie was so nice and attentive. I would definitely come here again! Oh and the fried ice cream was a treat!

Worth the wait! If there is a line don’t turn around. Wait it out and get some of best Mexican food around! The mole sampler is great and can help you pick which delicious dish is calling your name. The staff is great and the atmosphere is lively and comfortable. Def add this place to your to-go list. I see why there is long a wait here every night.
The food we had today was spectacular! We’ve experienced Tex-Mex in Austin and Cal-Mex in Southern California. Red Iguana more than holds it own against those two famous areas of the country for Mexican cuisine. This place looks like a hole in the wall from all the stickers on the door and windows, but don’t let those fool you. This establishment serves up world-class Mexican food. This is a must visit restaurant in Salt Lake City.

This is some of the best Mexican food I’ve had outside Texas and Mexico. It still leans a little Tex-Mex, but that’s totally welcome given the great flavors. The mole selection is great and should be your focus. The move is to order something topped with mole like the enchiladas, and then order a 3 oz side mole for dipping and sampling.
The normal table salsa is pretty weak so ask for a spicier option (which also isn’t too spicy). Don’t visit at peak lunch or dinner time because there will be a long wait. If you must visit at that time, walk two blocks to their second location. We had great experience at this place. It was our first time and the waitress helped customize our order, also let us sample different moles’ sauces. Festive and cozy vibe and price is reasonable.
The place is very busy so strongly recommend to reserve in advance.
