Real experience
This is a compilation of the three times we ate at the Rib & Chop House. Everything was great, the chicken fried steak was a little flavorless but the gravy made up for it. Mac and cheese was super cheesy good, as well as the spaghetti and meatballs.
The fried green tomato’s were ok, just not what I’m used to as a southerner. The steak and shrimp dinner was good, the steak was ordered medium rare and came well done and everything was served on separate plates. Bake potato was huge, and the fruity drinks were yummy .
I have to say that the chicken and shrimp lunch special was by far my favorite, so delicious and generous portions , enough for a late night snack as well !! Really enjoyed the atmosphere, it was busy but still enjoyable !!

We had a couple of nice dinners here. Food was great. Sirloin was tender and cooked to perfection served on a hot plate that keeps it hot.
One in our group had the salmon and thought it was very good. A large serving of fish. Another had ribs and raved about them. I tried the squash cassarole (kind of stuffing made with squash) and carrot souffle (a little sweet), and I enjoyed both. I also recomend the gumbo. We didn’t have room for desert.

Food was perfect. Service was on point. Ordered the ribeye with bacon, I was expecting some bacon on top, ended up with a pleasant surprise. The wife ordered the plank salmon and it was perfectly cooked.

Pretty good food here! They definitely had good servings for the prices, and DELICIOUS food. The server we had (can’t remember his name) was charming and kind to us, although I wouldn’t have minded if he checked on us more often.
He was personable and funny, and I felt right at home. They also had a great local beer, Madison River Beer, that was simply incredible and the best beer I’ve ever had. I also liked that they had paper on all the tables to draw on, even for adults! It made the time between ordering and getting food go even faster. They had a farm fresh pick, and I got the salmon, which was cooked to perfection!! Would love to visit again next time we’re passing through!

They were a bit short-staffed today, so the wait to get our food was longer than expected, but I’m still giving 5-stars because the service and food was excellent. I really enjoyed the Steak Caesar Salad. It was not heavily creamy, but lightly dressed and then drizzled with a balsamic reduction.

Friendliest staff, convenient location and great food. We often are seated by the fireplace – so nice and cozy on a cold snowy day! Michael was I our server today and he was fantastic!
