Real experience

Fantastic. A bit pricey, but honestly it’s some of the best food in this area. The shrimp scampi is seasoned well, dessert portions are HUGE and the kids pizza was even delicious. Will definitely be coming here again.

I went here on a last minute date. I wanted Italian, and this popped up on my search in the area. There was a short wait, but we were offered the opportunity to forego the wait if we sat at the bar or a half booth near it. We took the half booth.

The atmosphere was perfect for a date, even if by the bar. The lighting was right, it wasn’t too noisy (except for a particularly loud couple on the patio, but they were tolerable until the door opened briefly), and the decor was subdued enough to not demand attention.

The service was outstanding; the waiter was attentive and personable, and he really made the experience for us. But the superstar of the night was the food! We ordered an appetizer of crab cakes – a favorite of mine in any restaurant – and these were the absolutely, without a doubt, THE best I’ve ever tasted!! And our main entrees were just about as good; beautifully presented, flavorful, and well portioned. I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant! 10 stars out of 5, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

The best steak in the area. Try the gorgonzola filet with spinach. Jeremy the barkeep is the best. Very professional and he knows every drink recipe known by man. He makes an effort to remember names and faces.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food, atmosphere, and service is almost always top notch. Whether you’re dining with family, friends, hosting a private event, or enjoy dining alone like myself, Amerigo’s staff is always courteous, knowledgeable about the menu options, professional, and prompt. They also have vegetarian dishes available, which is wonderful when hosting a party. I highly recommend.

Stopped on the recommendation from a friend, and it was fabulous. The service was great and food was awesome. Had the Veal and it was tender and so flavorful. Definitely will be back next time we’re in town!

Love this Place! My husband and I first visit I had the 3 cheese Tortellini and my husband had Chicken Scampi, both were magnificent. Our server Austin was very attentive and professional. The ambiance was great along with soft music had us loving Amerigo before we were even seated. Quality food, quality service! We will be back.

Exactly what we were looking for in an Italian restaurant with a nice, but not too fancy, environment. The service was absolutely on point. The food was fast for a busy Sunday dinner and all was delicious. Go for the bruschetta or crab cakes over the cheese fritters for an appetizer. Definitely recommend the mushroom ravioli, and the tortellini with crab was great too.

Best Italian restaurant in the metro area. Always good. Great addition to Fondren district. Great lunch menu, Brunch, early bird specials begins at 4pm. Nice selection of top shelf spirits and wine. A must try for appetizers, the artichoke cheese dip. Friendly atmosphere.
