Chopan Kabob House Restaurant

Have you tried Afghanistan cuisine before? Whether you’re a newbie (like me) or a regular, Chopan Kabob House has the best menu! I had the please of trying their Chicken Curry and Teka Beef Kabob. Both dishes were packed with great flavors and tender meats. While dining, the waitress brought a green sauce made with jalapeños, garlic, cilantro and more. It was honestly the best sauce I have ever had. Check out their page and give them a visit soon! You won’t regret it!

This place has the best Chapli Kabob! Their tandoori chicken is good too! Don’t forget to get the bolani for appetizers! They people here are always so kind and welcoming. It’s not the fanciest place to sit and eat but it’s clean and the food taste the best when it’s fresh!

Chopan Kabob House made for a wonderful meal and experience all around! They have a very spacious dining area and most importantly, delicious and authentic Afghan food and kabobs! I started my meal off with Bolani (a flatbread stuffed with potatoes and leeks served with a fresh yogurt dipping sauce). For entrees, I enjoyed the Chopan kabob plate with rice and the combination kabob plate of Chapli kabob and Teka beef kabob served with a fresh, warm naan.

My favorite were the Chapli and the Teka – super tasty and juicy! All the food is prepared 100% halal as well. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with lots of authentic Afghan artifacts and a beautiful display of Afghan rugs. Chopan Kabob House also has a beautiful and big private event space that can hold 60 people – perfect for your next private event!

We really love this restaurant, so we keep going back, and we even recommend it to our family and friends when they visit. But the last two times that we ordered for to-go, the order was a mess. We ordered Tandoori Chicken and Quabili Pallow. The Tandoori chicken was fine but the lamb shank with the Quabili Pallow was cold and it felt like it was frozen for a long time. The first time, I brushed it off, thinking it was just a one-time mistake since we ordered near closing time. But shockingly, the same thing happened when I ordered Quabili Pallow for to-go a few days later.

Just to clarify, we pick up the food and eat it about 20 minutes later, so it shouldn’t be that cold. I’m not sure if this only happens with takeout orders, but it definitely shouldn’t be happening at all. I love Mediterranean food. So whenever I get the chance, I try Mediterranean food. Chopan Kabob House is an afghani halal restaurant. We have tried their kabobs, those were very tasty, fresh, and juicy.

Last time we also tried the Quabili Pallow which comes with lamb shanks and yellow basmati rice. The portion of the food was large enough and the taste was delicious. The customer service was great and the price is reasonable.

I haven’t eaten Chersi Kebab in Kabul, but Chersi Kebab at Chopan Kebab House is the best. Same taste as Kabul restaurants, The dal soup was also good, but it is better to add authentic native soup to your menu, like Gullbahar Center Soup in Kabul. good luck, it was great

Excellent, authentic, FRESH Afghani food at a good price. It’s home-cooked style, but next level up on flavor. Everything we ordered was delicious, and service was good. Stop by and don’t hesitate to try anything. I had their Qaubili pulao, bolani, and chapli kabobs (all were excellent).
