Iyanze Bar And Cafe

Really good food, friendly and funny owner, excellent prices. I had jollof rice and a scotch egg, and the total came to less than $10. These are like 1990s prices. The first few bites of the jollof rice I liked it but thought it maybe wasn’t super delicious, but as I ate more of it, I liked it even more. A slight smoky flavor, but not too strong. Really good! The place is spacious with a variety of different kinds of seating, some on bar stools at tables, but others in comfy chairs with lower tables in the corner. Highly

I actually arrived early for a group lunch meeting so i sat in the lounge area. There is plenty of seating for a small or a large group. Service was friendly and they even offered me a water before I ordered or sat down at the dinner table. I was a little bit hesitant going to a Nigerian restaurant for the first time, but the food was delicious and exceeded my expectations.

I ordered the marinated chicken drumsticks, plantain bananas, and rice with beans. They even added some extra special sauce on my entree. I like the fact that the food is hot and ready to serve hungry people at lunch. It was a little bit spicy, but not too much at all. They had reallly good lunch specials, better price, tasting, and healthier than a Big Mac combo. I will be back to try more dishes.

Great hospitality and very informative with introducing you to the product. Food is delicious and the iconic store made drink is very good. Thank me later A lovely Nigerian restaurant in Chicago, I had abula and it was delicious. When I visited the restaurant, the staff were nice, the atmosphere was welcoming, and they served different Nigerian delicacies. I’ll recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to get good Nigerian food. Keep up the good work.

The food is tasty but not what I expected. I suppose it is a texture thing. I ordered 3 of the 4 rice dishes and they were great. Ox tails were tough and hard to eat. orka dish tasted great but I couldn’t chew the tripe in the dish. The Scotch eggs are delicious and filling.

The plantain dish with the chicken gizzard were good but only 1 gizzard in the whole plate. Nigerian chicken was great as well as the other chicken dish I purchased. The couple working were very busy but fast with all the orders .Delicious food, affordable prices, beautiful new interior with cool music playing, clean bathrooms, friendly service and everything just rules. When I visit Chicago it’s normally the first place I eat because it’s cool to let the excellence set the tone for my time in the city.

Love me some Iyanze, went there today and left happy. The Abula meal is my top favorite, mixed okra, jollof. Also in my opinion one of the freshest Nigerian restaurant in the city. I’ve had very bad experiences at other places. They have good customer service, Only complaint is the long lines. I know people quit jobs because of pandemic but they sha need more workers.
