"Madeira Restaurant Rhode Island: Where Portuguese Tradition Shines"

Madeira Restaurant Rhode Island Always my favorite place to come and have drinks and yummy food before a comedy show at the Comedy Connection! Food is consistent, and the pours are strong. The Bitoque is my go-to dish!

Real experience
One of the best Portuguese restaurants in the area. Food is amazing. Their house steak is the best Ive had. Waitstaff was really nice. Portions are large. Pricing is on the higher end but is def worth the money. Resturant was clean. Menu has alot of options. Will be back. Highly recommended

My husband brought me a plate from here after work and it was AMAZING! My very first time trying portugués food and I am not disappointed. He ordered me rice, steak, egg and potatoes. He also had me try the portugués soup and I fell in love. Definitely going for the in-person experience soon. (And the total was $22 for all of our food!) The food here was great. The reason for the three stars is the staff.
We walk in and the host is sitting as me and a friend are waiting 5 minutes she finally gets up to seat us. Then the waitress we had was completely disrespectful. Clipped one word answers and rushed to clear our plates for us to leave even though we had been there max 45 minutes. Save your money and go to Riviera Restaurant. Staff is so much friendlier and the food is just as good

First of all, the food was amazing! So 4 stars for the food. Our reservation was 45 minutes late. We were starving and not offered anything for that. We had one server who was not really all that friendly at first. A second server came over and said “sorry there was some confusion and I’ll be your server”.
She was much nicer. When the food finally came, it was delicious. I’d get takeout for sure. From the beginning we were geeted by a very friendly owner. Atmosphere comfortable and relaxing. We were seated immediately. Waitress was outgoing and competent. Her service was excellent. Food was outstanding as was the pitcher of red sangria.

The food in this place is delicious, and authentically Portuguese. The outdoor patio is beautiful and has a nice and very Mediterranean atmosphere. The interior building is somewhat outdated and traditional, but very well kept. I was impressed by the size of the venue space on the second floor, which can accommodate up to 300 people.
Prices are decent, but they seem to have problems sorting out bills for large groups. It happened to a table next to us, and then to us. So do your best to help them keep things straight while ordering and read your bill.

An excellent Portuguese restaurant. We’ve been here many times, and it’s always great. The food was delicious. We had the Caldo Verde soup with Cale and potatoes and some sausage. We also had Portuguese sausage for appetizers. That was amazing, the sausage was tasty, but the sauce was the star 9f the show. Pork cutlets in burgundy sauce and grilled cod with a lot of garlic drenched in olive oil. Fenomenal.
finally
Delicious, gourmet, homemade Portuges dishes. Easy on & off highway, plenty of parking, excellent service and indoor/outdoor dining.
