Real experience

I’m giving them 5 stars based on the food being a 4 and the service being a 10… they seemed to be understaffed but apologized in advance and to be honest they seemed to be timely… we had a nice waitress and a guy helped fill in to keep everything going smooth.

The cheese pizza was better than expected and the wedge salad was really good! I did order a sangria which they comped because they had forgotten about it and I wouldn’t order it again – not a Midwest drink! Overall great service and very friendly with really good food. I was with my 7 year old daughter and it was also more kid friendly than expected and the kids menu was fantastic!

Wow! Stopped here with a few co-workers while in town for a job and was really impressed with the food and service! We had the Pineapple chutney flatbread for starters and it was the favorite of the night for sure! So flavorful! I then had the taco trio, which was delicious as well. The server was fantastic and let us know right when we sat down that he would be right with us. They were super busy so we appreciated the acknowledgement that we were just seated. Everything was really great and I would definitely go back when in town again!

We come here every time we come home for Christmas break. I love their gluten free pizza!! It was delicious like always! Our waitress was okay but seemed very distracted. She was kind. Everyone at our table loved their food. My mother-in-law got tacos, father-in-law got the meatloaf, my husband got a pizza (not gluten free). I was a bit sad they ran out of dairy free cheese but it was still really good. We will be back!

First time, not as much of a wait that we thought there would be for a Saturday afternoon!! Service was quick atmosphere seems a little hectic but not overly loud, just allot of moving around like a server should I guess!!! Good seemed to take a bit, but was well worth it!!!! Drinks were cold!!! Definitely will give it another try!!!

HOLY BUCKETS!!! What a difference from last night din out. ABSOLUTELY everything was wonderful. I am truly shocked at the flavor of the food. The Greek salad was amazing & the feta dressing they had on it was so good. The service was amazing even though she said she was new I would’ve never noticed it. I noticed everyone was very attentive to the tables. I loved how you could still visit even though music was going on. Would I recommend this place

MacKenzie River is my FAVORITE sit down restaurant here in Sioux Falls! The service is great, the atmosphere and decor is rustic and inviting. The food is the best I’ve had. My party ordered different dishes and they were all delicious. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

While the hostesses seemed too distracted by their own conversation to immediately acknowledge us, our waiter far and beyond made up for it with his hospitality. All in all, this restaurant checked all the boxes for us: excellent food and beer selection, cozy and upscale atmosphere, budget-friendly prices on everything, and very kid-friendly too. I would highly recommend!

Great food, really great atmosphere, and friendly service. Hard to explain the feel of the place- lodge cabin romance outdoorsy? Quiet yet lively. They know what they’re doing. It’s definitely a place to go if you’re in town.
