The food is fantastic; the flavors of every dish are perfectly balanced, the portions are reasonable, and the presentation is…well you can see from the photos. If you can, aim for a Friday night because they have a special “night menu.” We ordered Korean Fried Chicken from it and it was the perfect balance of spicy and sweet. They gave us a complimentary chocolate souffle because we were celebrating my husband’s birthday, which he liked a lot. They even brought it with a lit candle.

Extra gratitude to the gentleman who brought it out because the flame kept getting blown out by the wind and he lit it again and again. I ended up getting a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert (I didn’t make my husband share his). It was a little pricey at $14 for one small scoop, but it was the best vanilla ice cream I’ve ever had.

This oceanfront restaurant at the Four Seasons is modern, swanky and romantic. The outdoor tables have a great view of the sunset if you get seated around 6pm. The food was so so, definitely overpriced for what it was, but I guess you’re paying for the brand and the views. The chili crab noodles were yummy. The coriander crusted ahi was just ok – the flavors didn’t match very well.

My husband and I went for our honeymoon and it was the most amazing experience. The service was beautiful, the food was exquisite and we will definitely be going back for each trip we take back. Was such a blessing getting to experience the dishes and the atmosphere. I will continue to rave about this place to each and every person I meet whether they are traveling to Hawaii or plan to. Highly recommended!


Lovely anniversary dinner experience. They gave us the ocean front table which was just beautiful.
Tip: reserve a table for at least half hour ahead of sunset so that you can enjoy the view.

We ordered
1. Poke- was just okay
2. Crab noodles- good , but really
Large portion size
3. Sushi- was good
4. And the chocolate soufflé was heavenly , really master chef style preparation

Overall come here to celebrate something special, portion sizes are big. The views and the service is the star selling point of this place.


Absolutely the best dining experience we’ve had on the Big Island. We came for our anniversary and were given a beautiful beachside table with the perfect ambience.

Huge shout out to our server Justine. She guided us through choices and was one of the best servers we’ve met (ever!).

Must try to venison entree and pork belly. Seriously great all around and my new favorite cocktail is their signature daiquiri.

Great job ULU. We will definitely make this a new stop every time we’re on the island.

My wife and I celebrated dinner here after our sunset wedding. The service was exceptional. We were provided a romantic seat with a beach front view.

I ordered the kona coffee crusted maui venison and she had the koji cured and smoked puna chicken. The venison was perfectly prepared, but I think the chicken was unbeatable. We also had a complimentary pineapple rum souffle which was also wonderful. The service was professional and prompt. Definitely a must to experience.

Excellent food, excellent staff, and an excellent setting, though it will cost some money. Our server was Lilibeth and she was fantastic- she shared stories with us and made us feel so welcome, like talking to an old friend. If you can afford this, do not pass it by.
