Real experience

Food was delicious and staff was very friendly, definitely going to come back soon! Would highly recommend the chorizo stuffed dates and the pork belly peta with hummus

Expectations ran high for this Chicago classic but everything came out great. Wonderful wine selection of off the beaten path offerings, and the menu has a great balance of light and heavy

They did an excellent job with the covid restrictions without making it feel any different than a normal high class dining experience

Avec was OK for me. The food is good, not something super special, but the hummus short rib was really tasty! It’s a big place, so sometimes you feel a bit lost. The staff could be more attentive, they seemed a bit busy or not noticing much. But overall, it’s a decent place to go for a meal. If you try the hummus short rib, you’ll probably enjoy it.

Food was amazing. A bit pricy for what you get but the service was great. Wish that they had more heaters outside because it gets kinda chilly at night and your food gets cold and so do you. They had two tables under heaters and about five of them weren’t. Very odd. But other then that. Good food

The food here is so unique! I’ve heard about avec so many times finally I tried this place myself. It did not let me down. The dishes here are all so unique and delicious. I was totally amazed by everything that I’ve ordered! Our waitress was also very polite and gave us lots of recommendations. We were lucky to be dinning on the second floor where it was spacious and comfortable. The downstairs seating looks a bit crowded with little distance between different parties

Came here for Chicago Restaurant Week brunch, could not be more happy with our experience! We had amazing coffee, coffee cake, roasted carrot hummus, and to die for french toast. The staff were accommodating to our vegetarian dietary restrictions and even let us do an item swap on the menu to make sure we had the best experience possible. They were incredibly sweet and attentive. Will definitely be coming back!

We loved the place. Good service, very attentive. Good food. Dates were exceptional, as well as the squid and the bread. The menu is confusing. This is a restaurant for sharing food.

You would assume that when they list the plates by small to large plates is about appetizers and main, it is not like that. The focaccia and Flatbread I wouldn’t consider a main dish , it is simply a bigger plate to share. So order them to share they serve two to four people, and then order a couple of the small plates as main. That’s our suggestion

We had an excellent experience here. The service was fantastic and all the food was amazing. It was a combination of small and large plates that you share as a table. The waitress helped us know how much to order for our party of four. She recommended a few options that were wonderful. We particularly enjoyed the focaccia, the hummus, and the chorizo stuffed dates. The cocktails were good and the have a great wine selection. We would highly recommend this place!
