Proxi Restaurant

One of my new favorite spots in Chicago! Chef Andrew Zimmerman’s restaurant absolutely lives up to the hype, and I was excited to see that Proxi had reopened for indoor dining. As big fans of global street food, my girlfriend and I struggled to order as every dish sounded incredibly appetizing The restaurant is on the Chicago restaurant list. I like the price and the pork belly but I will try the fried chicken next time

Food was great! Order a la crate and share with table. I like how the menu was very diverse. We had a table of 6 people in a private area which was nice. Would come back to location again.

Absolutely stunning! Proxi was a lovely experience. All of the staff were very personable and kind, willing to help with anything. There was a staff member, shorter with dark hair and white? Highlights who truly went above and beyond. They anticipated our needs before we even knew we had them! She was very lovely and we appreciated her diligence. The food was exceptional! The drinks we had were very well balanced, the Flower Boy (0 Proof) and the Temporary Joy. Our food choices were wonderful as well, we would recommend the Squash Sorbet the highest! What a fun and well priced experience – we will recommend Proxi to all of our friends and family! Thank you for a great time.
Wow! What a delicious experience. All the food we had was amazing, the drinks were spectacular and the ambiance was perfect. We did not plan ahead and therefore did not have reservations. We were able to walk in and sit at the bar. I would totally return to dine her again.

We went for restaurant week and they were so incredibly accommodating that they modified the items to be vegan for me and I was so very touched. They took fantastic care of us and every plate was delicious and such a unique spin on Asian/south Asian flavors. Such a great time!

Went there during the restaurant week. Food were kind of good except the foie gras pot de creme. The foie gras paste was quite salty yet the bun was even salter. The only thing I could taste was the creme of the bun and the saltiness, nothing else. Also cooking rice is very important, soggy and broken rice is a big disappointment in any asian dish. All in all it felt over priced for what the food were.

We had a great experience here! We sat by the bar with Alex and had the best time. Alex was friendly and had a lot of recommendations. We tried the tempura elotes and paneer for a shareable and the strip and pork belly for the main course. Everything was fantastic.

Incredible. We had the chef’s tasting menu. Truly a journey for your taste buds – global inspiration, and fun textures. We particularly enjoyed the masa cavatelli. We wished the sweet potato was more adventurous. Excellent service throughout our experience.

Honestly one of my favorite places. Leave it to chef Andrew Zimmerman to have another amazing menu that features unique cocktails and shareable plates that you don’t necessarily want to share. The staff is also friendly, chill, and attentive
